@dropbear@aus.social @oxy@social.bsdlab.au I missed the morning, but caught some of JN dialling in, fascinating... And now MB is back

@futurebird@sauropods.win oh no. Cheapest possible care?

@catnip@mastodon.online @ColinTheMathmo@mathstodon.xyz in the film Malcolm, the titular character played by Colin Friels discovers that his new housemate has stolen a bunch of televisions, he asks if he can keep the cardboard boxes... I remember watching am interview with Colin Friels where he says he developed a great appreciation for cardboard boxes after playing that role

@angusgibbins@mastodon.social @yaakov@cloudisland.nz @ausfestivus@aus.social doubly effective

@decryption@aus.social @oxy@social.bsdlab.au Very much agree, Libraries are the best!

@inthehands@hachyderm.io @jimkennedy@mas.to 100%, there are plenty of dunning kruger interview winners out there, I suspect mostly due to the confidence their privilege gives them

@bazkie@beige.party @selzero@syzito.xyz me too with the audio restart.. anyway, point made

@jet@cloudisland.nz lately i've been enjoying the rare moment of being able to make some music by setting up either a pedal chain for null input feedback, or a single midi instrument w controller, and just jamming... sometimes edit later I usually record them ... should probably do a weekly beats or similar - would probably be a monthly thing at this stage :)

@jet@cloudisland.nz nice jam, some super lovely elements - would be a fun one to remix :)

@PeterLG@theblower.au @Heliograph@mastodon.au I'm with Peter on this one, tell me what is shown, but make it interesting if you have the time & energy

@stufromoz @arichtman @futzle or roast, delicious, like a nutty baked potato

@BryanGreyson@social.tchncs.de ran out of up buttons - what we gonna do? Nah, don't order more - can't delay the project..

@oxy@social.bsdlab.au @decryption@aus.social @daedalus@eigenmagic.net 💯 this 👆

@ahihi@anticapitalist.party @lislegaard@sonomu.club oh shit! Love finding artists I never knew existed via collabs! Nevaris https://modreloaded.bandcamp.com/album/reverberations (how many Net labels does Bill Laswell have?)

@ahihi@anticapitalist.party @lislegaard@sonomu.club this is one I go back to time and time again https://billlaswell.net/album/radioaxiom-a-dub-transmission

@ahihi@anticapitalist.party @lislegaard@sonomu.club and now I'm off down a bandcamp rabbithole :) https://modreloaded.bandcamp.com/album/bass-culture-ep

@jessta@aus.social far out. My kids are always excited to catch a train somewhere

@oleksiy@sonomu.club into the rivers...

@georgepenney@sunny.garden gold! These are some great spottings, thank you George!!

@amiserabilist I'd heard Donovan, but the first recording I heard of the instrument was the Necks album Aquatic, features Stevie Wishart on Hurdy Gurdy, I still love this album https://thenecksau.bandcamp.com/album/aquatic

@trib@aus.social this is very useful information, cheers

@Nonilex@masto.ai methinks the lady doth protest too much?

@luciedigitalni@aus.social it is a horrifying read. I will need to read it again, but will have to brace myself

@emptyvessel_nz@social.bitwig.community Looks pretty fun... And takes less space & maintenance than the actual reel players I have 😅

@data0@indieweb.social @lislegaard@sonomu.club what a cracker of an album, hadn't caught up with this til now either!! Loving this thread, cheers :)

@LovesTha Josh ( @phocks ) may have some contacts? I'd love to see a happy couch surfing safari come from this :)

@SeaFury@aus.social yum! Hope you're feeling better soon

@firstdogonthemoon will do :) He had his head in the book again before school & got through another 4 chapters! (proud dad heart swells) Thanks & keep up the great work!

@jimbob sorry, my daughter loves that earworm, so it's lodged in my brain

@th amazing. Seems like a poorly designed, very text heavy sign?

@jet@cloudisland.nz can I recommend instrument builder & composer Kraig Grady, more recent works are less idiophone based, but equally interesting & for me, rewarding... this Anaphoria album features a bunch of microtonal instruments by Kraig and collaborators. I was lucky enough to see a few live performances of Kraig & collaborators a decade or so ago https://anaphoria.bandcamp.com/album/the-creation-of-the-worlds

@Tarale@aus.social let alone a photo with great framing of a sculpture & landscape, so good!!

@Tarale@aus.social stunning!! We've been lucky enough to see a bunch of double rainbows from my yard, but I'm yet to get a decent photo of one!

@Tarale@aus.social great shot :)

@dgar I don't know if I could say I "collect" anymore, but I have a collection and occasionally buy an album on vinyl at a gig... mosy recent purchase at an actual record shop was a year or two ago, "Wall of eyes" by The Smile, last purchase at a gig, Elana Stone, Married to the Sound The last record on the platter here was ABBA, Arrival (requested by the kiddos)

@uberpaul@aus.social thank you for the reminder to continue to avoid linkedin Those people have some real issues

@jet@cloudisland.nz or like buying grocery items with an unkown expiry date..

@warkolm oh Rita!

@trib we bought a couple of small air purifiers recently, mainly for the mould... they've been getting a bit of use

@trib good sunrises & sunsets tho? We had this at my place Sunday-Monday, remember to close the windows in the evening before it all settles and wafts into the house...

@dragonfi@social.jsteuernagel.de @tedmielczarek@mastodon.social @levork@graphics.social yes, focus on short term gain at the cost of our future / longevity / sustainability of the product

@evcricket haha! Had you originally put that tape in your Dads car to prank him?

@jpm My brain parsed that as “Take the *fiction* out of your workday - *remove* Microsoft 365 Copilot”

@Natasha_Jay@tech.lgbt phenomenal!!

@stilgherrian https://youtu.be/_ZBKX-6Gz6A?si=XRRL0Zp_Y2udBI1H Extra negative if referring to themselves. This video is also a type of cheese

@backupbear oh lordy! Tell me your weekend has started now though??
