What do you do with all the bass you trap with the bass traps? Do you release it in a wild?

Would anyone like to give a (remote) talk/tutorial about #livecoding and #algorave to a local community of a hackerspace in Kyiv? We see a lot of people are interested in it, but we need some push to get it going :)
Edit: thanks for all the boosts, we found the speakers :)

@lislegaard@sonomu.club not on the roots side, but Om Unit's Acid Dub Studies series is good, there are 3 volumes + 3 remix albums https://omunit.bandcamp.com/album/acid-dub-studies-ii-lp

@meljoann I have this one installed, but don't use it too often https://github.com/ExistentialAudio/BlackHole
I don't think there's a native solution to this

@mcmullin@musicians.today @lislegaard@sonomu.club I don't think you actually can do this. at least in masto, maybe some other fedi software has this kind of feature

@zuggamasta@merveilles.town yeah, I've seen your project, looks really cool. I also played with DIY MIDI controllers before, I'll probably end up designing something new myself with a custom PCB

@daseinslaborant@berlin.social yeah, opendeck is cool, I'll probably end up making something with it, I was just hoping there's ready-to use layout/PCB for DJ controllers specifically

@dashie@nya.otter.sh yeah, I thought about it too, should be pretty easy. I was just hoping there's some ready to use design and layout for all the controls

@ics@sonomu.club I think I've "seen" tricky like 3 times and it's always like that. but first time I actually enjoyed it for some unknown reason

I've recently switched from android to iphone that's on ios 18. does it make sense to update it to ios 26? im not really into this new liquid thing.. maybe I can update it to some pre-liquid-glass version?

@s_ol@merveilles.town thanks, I'll look into it. I was thinking about using regular encoders for the jog, just with the bigger knob, but this sensor looks interesting, although it'll slightly complicate the build

@dashie@nya.otter.sh I probably also shouldn't bother and get a ready-made deck, but where's fun in that? lol

@kandid@chaos.social that's really cool! right now we mostly focus on audio/music stuff, but we do plan to cover VJ-ing at some point. maybe we can figure something out, idk, maybe prereocrded video + Q&A in the chat or something like that, if you are up for it?

@s_ol@merveilles.town I'm not aiming at hi-end/hi-res stuff (at least now), something simple with budget off the shelf components would be a good start. that aurora "mixer" looks more or less like what I have in mind, but it's like 18 years old, and based on PIC MCU that I know nothing about. I think something like RPi Pico, STM32 or ESP32 would be much better fit for it today
