I got a new dog!
warkolm
wiradjuri land (dubbo)
my jobs used to define me, now I spend a tonne of time volunteering to build communities while I restore some land back to its proper, natural state
fuck my local council
they want to throw away $100K to fight a solar+battery farm that is on the fringe of dubbo as it's prime residential expansion (which I get, we need more houses), there's a bit of nimby-ism, and the deputy mayor is a cooker
the article states that council staff advised the councillers that this is a very long shot and the spend is likely a waste of cash!
meanwhile the sole open space sporting area west of the wambuul doesn't have enough reticulated capacity to be watered
not just once a week. at all. zero watering is done there
the department that runs it has zero plans to fix that. they have done nothing in at least 5 years to provide adequate facilites to half of the town
yet let's throw away $100K on this bullshit?
@camwilson@mastodon.social lemme know if you switch your article alerts off substack, so I can resubscribe :)
spent the middle part of the day shovelling, now playing with evcc but I can't get it to see the car!
gotta love this email from my isp

ugh, work (a nsw state gov department) is releasing internal videos with ai generated, usa accented voice overs
ugh I am stuck doing a the computer and it's maybe time to walk away for a bit
https://www.quantamagazine.org/what-physical-life-force-turns-biologys-wheels-20260420/ looks like something certain folk on here would probably be knitting
well on the flipside I just did my first asa (+cf) print and it was flawless
loaded the #siddament profiles, sliced it, printed in 20 min. unreal!
this morning started clear(ish) and it's now cloudy and foggy, which is kinda weird this late in the morning
