Cue live cross to the PM now where he is taking questions on the aus alert test today.
Journo: Prime Minister. Are you concerned about the impacts the test message will have on property prices and why do you think it’s okay to destroy the wealth of average hard working Australians by surrounding everyone with loud noises?
Have successfully negotiated for part time work this school term. Going to a four day week. Wednesday is a day off for me. Looking forward to not working more than two days in a row.
Busy, busy, super satisfying weekend concluded.
Friday night: karate black belt prep cycle test completed and passed. Deemed ready to attend black belt grading in September. Two day grading test.
Saturday: Karate class catchup because missed Wednesday’s. Sore after Friday nights test. Then other assorted house chores.
Sunday: All day training for #nswrfs Wildfile Behaviour qualification. Intense theory and tricky practical skills to master for testing in a couple of weeks.
It’s going to be a busy term.
Were any news services running a live cross to the alert release?
Disney+ price rise to $24/mth. Cancelled.
Uplifting my mood by scrolling through my album of saved memes and sending them to random friends and family.
In this evening's exciting episode of "Strata Law shitfuckery". A committee member was excluded from voting and lost her place on the committee because her status was not "financial". Some clerical balls-up somewhere meant she was 2c in arrears on her strata levies.
For her to join the strata committee once she has paid the 2c she owes, we need to run a special general meeting. Which means the Strata Manager has to do work which they will change the Body Corp for.
Crooks, the lot of them.
Having a livestream from the Orion flight deck on my phone screen is just so amazeballs. Watching the crew record some of their activities on their own handheld devices is also very wild. We are in for a real audio/visual treat with this #ArtemisII mission.
Did proper excel crimes that will make people go cross eyed.

@itgrrl@infosec.exchange Aussie Broadband. Slightly more pricey than others but rock solid performance and availability. Support teams are also excellent, well trained and helpful. They also seem to be trained to recognise when the caller is tech literate. They also have an unofficial Discord which you can talk directly to their network team via. Has helped me isolate and resolve a couple of funky corner cases.
St Leonards is still a wind tunnel apparently.

Forgot to also mention that the new Mario movie is pretty good. A bit of a choppy story/screenplay but still enjoyable.
Enjoyed the Starfix crossover a lot.
I am on hold.
Porting a mobile service to a new provider. The request failed. The device owner received an unhelpful message stating that it failed and to contact the new provider.
I have a hunch that the Australian mobile provider porting system backend is not designed to allow customers to move between service providers easily. #tpoasiwid.
An old (2003) documentary series from the UK I would like to watch isnt to be found online. I has a sad.
Is a vehicle license plate considered PII?
Motorcycle mechanic said warranty fix was all day deal. Just received sms to say repair is complete and bike is ready.
I heard you like IPv6. Well, so does Windows. #ipv6

@Unixbigot@aus.social That article says “Police services around the country have been warned of the security flaw. But despite the safety risks, especially to officers who are undercover, in tactical units or who take their equipment home, none appear to have acted.”
My question is, which undercover agent is carrying a taser and/or body worn camera?

@jpm@aus.social that’s a starting point for discussion. I suspect this is a topic that ties privacy governance types in knots.

@xssfox@cloudisland.nz I like tf a lot but I worry that using as the IAC bootstrap for this is a bit of a stretch. You’re essentially assuming your users have a tf capability.
