Good Evening, "OS X / macOS" was a 25 year sociological study conducted by Apple Computer. We are now complete with our study. Thank you for your time.

@futzle@old.mermaid.town used it when i was younger, not so much anymore because it feels a bit pretentious. which doesnt mean it is, but idk, english seems to tend towards simplification
i like the concept of such short counting words, but the pattern is bizarre
one - once
two - twice
three - thrice
four - quarce?
five - quince??
why does it turn (more) latin starting from four?! i dont think ive ever even heard these used
in finnish we just tack a -sti after the number and call it a day

okay i got the final bit of math sorted for this scene. but i cant show you because it would spoil the main gimmick of the demo 😌

@kalleboo@bitbang.social there should be a setting you can enable to make all errors like this, it would be educational

oh yeah i saw a weird little machine crawling up a grassy slope today. i can only assume it was a robot mower. heard of those but never seen one before
anyone using
1. #KDE Plasma 6 on #Wayland
2. display scale >100%
3. ideally a distro that is not NixOS
and wanna help me test something?
im trying to use #OpenUtau but i cannot get it to run at anything but 100% scale (tiny text). supposedly it should be possible to do
AVALONIA_GLOBAL_SCALE_FACTOR=2 OpenUtau
but it has no effect here. trying to figure out if its a NixOS specific problem or not

@defaultmediatransmitter@social.bitwig.community i am also fascinated by the concept of using time zones as CV somehow

another fresh improvement: when running code blocks via the controller, the text buffer now scrolls so the target code block is at the top of the screen, so the audience can see more clearly what is going on
ive previously done something similar with centered-point-mode, but its too much for my purposes and i usually forgot to turn it on before shows. this new one i think i can just leave enabled always

background visuals are also a possibility, finally

im digging through the source code now

also i cannot figure out what the keyboard shortcut is for "play" xD
bus with the "not on route" sign but there are passengers inside. where are they going...

it doesnt seem to like my samples. maybe ill batch convert everything to 44100/16 big endian aiff just to be safe
Replying to
that works but there is a weird stereo effect on everything. hmmm
Replying to
oh. theres a global stereo delay enabled by default for some reason 😭
im writing down notes this time so i dont have to go through all this struggle in the future
Replying to
maybe i can make Reason Rack work on Linux. but i know it will be pain
maybe i cobble together an AVX2 capable Hackintosh setup and grant myself a few more years of straddling two worlds
maybe i run the old stuff on Win- yeah no
long term i guess the inevitable thing is to build a new plugin palette. i just really dont have the motivation right now

there are absolutely no signs of life so a power issue is looking likely
