#AI is not "the only thing keeping the economy going right now". People doing actual useful work are what's keeping the economy going. AI is just making some number go up. When the AI bubble pops, this will not be bad for the economy. It will in fact be great for the economy! Then, governments will give our tax money to AI companies, and that will crash the economy.

ah great, it happened, desktop signal "unlinked" from the device I originally made my account with (which no longer exists), and now I can't do shit anymore 🤷‍♀️ great system. so I guess now I need to find some smartphone, put my GSM SIM in there, create a new account, and then lose it again in a few months time when signal, for no apparent reason at all, needs to get "pinged" again by that device who the fuck comes up with these systems. don't they understand the concept of having an account linked to some email address!? #signal

@sknob@mamot.fr hm yeah I guess I could just try making loop b attempts, until I find one that works after loop a; but somehow it just feels so daunting to do anything anymore when loop a is already very "big" with multiple channels and all kinds of effects and stuff. again this is mostly my brain seeing mountains where there are probably none lol 🤣 so excuse my impossible whining! but anyway, I shall try this method of first just building a skeleton - as simple as possible - of a whole track, and only then work out the details per 'loop', maybe that solves my easily startled brain! (I've been planning on trying that forever by the way, but then in practice I just start building a single elaborate loop again, and then getting stuck 😅 aaaah brain!!)

I wouldn't trust a smartphone ever. corporations wouldn't trust a desktop ever. hmmm thanks for the help

@david_chisnall@infosec.exchange no, I think you don’t understand what a TPM does. a TPM provides an non-removable fingerprint that corporations can use to identify your device. also, they can force you to use TPM'ed hardware, by having their software/hardware/services not work without one; thereby forcing you to use only hardware that corporations, or later, governments, "approve of". this is the groundwork of a forced identification ecosystem that we are being moved towards. no thanks.
