Otherwise I would have never gotten entangled in their ecosystem this much. Now I own thousands of games on Steam, two old Steam Controllers, one new Steam Controller, and one Steam Link. Why telling an indie dev to "make a different/better game" as a business advice meets with such strong resistance, sometimes even animosity?

Do y'all really just want to make ONE SPECIFIC GAME and nothing else?

I understand that it might be disrespectful of someone's effort when put in the way I did it in the first sentence...

But this is by far the BEST way for us indie devs to get visibility (and sales). Some games just look more interesting and shareworthy than others.
