- I’m proficient in Typescript and React, but I have shipped code in many different languages
- I built and work everyday on enterprise scale codebase, and my code has literally made >100M€ in sale

@ashenwave@mastodon.art I can relate! Artfol and Cara are cool but when there is only artists around it’s easy to get lost amongst all the talented people there. I also tried Thread, which is complete ghost town too; begging, engagement posts, basically what you describe bsky but way worse :’)
To quote your first post, Mastodon feels the least like a social media graveyard sometimes (but I wouldn’t mind more people there)

Alright! In case you missed the news, today I have resigned from my current position, as I have another job lined up!
Some final stats about this year job search
- I have sent 40 applications in ~14 days, most found on LinkedIn and NoFluffJob (both have very effective search, can recommand)
- Out of all the application, 12 sent me a rejection; so exactly 30% negative response rate
- I got 1 (one) interview, went through the 3 rounds and got the offer at the end
- Sadly I didn’t get hired by someone who found me on Mastodon, but that was worth a try haha
For comparison, 2 years ago I sent around 26 applications only, got maybe 8 responses with 2 positive for an interview; but I was targetting Junior roles in France back then so a different game.
I’m saying this publicly so that you know:
- yes yes people still get hired in this economy 🙂↕️
- it’s a number game so don’t get caught up on every single application, keep the ball rolling
- if there is a place to put a cover letter or a message to the recruiter do so! You need every opportunity you can get to get noticed
- you can do this 🔥🔥 I believe in you! Go get that bag (:

@goog Shirtigo is a german service I've used in the past, their quality is pretty good! The only thing I'm not sure about is the size, but everything else they seem like a good match
Printify might have good options too, they have the largest catalog by far, but it's really hit or miss since it's a lot of different suppliers/factories
For print quality look for DTG (direct to garment) instead of heat transfer
Some local print shop might have the equipment too! But it might be expensive if they only do screen printing
