So now I need to move my #homelab. And I have two options:

1. Migrate #Mastodon reverse proxy from #nginx to #caddy (no documentation on this around the internet except uncertain assumptions).
2. Pay x4 for the internet for a business plan, where I’ll be able to rent more than one static IP.

• generische Bewerbungstexte wie „Ich möchte Teil der deutschsprachigen Community werden …“

Besonders perfide: Teilweise werden offenbar echte Bios anderer Fediverse-/Bluesky-Nutzer.innen kopiert. So wirkt die Anmeldung auf den ersten Blick erstaunlich glaubwürdig.

Ein einzelnes Merkmal beweist natürlich nichts. In dieser Kombination sieht es aber sehr nach automatisierter Account-Erstellung aus.

Schaut euch neue Registrierungen derzeit besser etwas genauer an und tauscht Beobachtungen gern unter den Instanzen aus.

I just got a shock. I want the old design back!!! 😭 It was a matter of seconds, and the Design of #Mastodon changed. Usually, I have nothing against design changes. But if it hits me so unprepared that I think my browser has a bug ... A real bug is that I have to make an extra click for writing a post now and get a much too small pop up field down at the right (not at eye's height)! Do you want to change the email address on your Mastodon account?

1. Sign in on your server's website
2. Click on "⚙️ Preferences" (if you're on mobile click ☰ in bottom right and then "⚙️ Preferences")
3. Click on "Account" on left (if you're on mobile click ☰ in top right, then click on "Account" in menu that appears)
4. Replace old email with new one, then enter current password in "Current password" box
5. Click "Save Changes"
6. Click on link in confirmation email
