My Anti-Spotify video has reached a view count sufficient such that, if every viewer canceled their Spotify sub and switched to Metrolist, then it would mathematically cost Spotify a million dollars a year. WUT! This is what they must mean by #AI #music #fraud. I opened Spotify (reasons, don't judge) and the homepage said "New Release from Whiskeytown." Screenshot below. For those who don't know Whiskeytown was Ryan Adams first band out of Raleigh, NC. He famously kicked the rest of the band to the curb and went solo as soon as he could despite the band becoming extremely successful. So there's a lot of bad blood there still to this day. Clicked the song and it is DEFINITELY not Whiskeytown. As described above, there's no way that band would be releasing a new song or even an archival release. This is pure straight up fraud.
