As you can see, I am clearly innocent of the crimes I have been accused. #caturday #caturdayeveryday

Today is #caturday. You know what we are going to do, we are going to take over the world, that's what we are going to do. #caturdayeveryday

You are witnessing a completely innocent cat, because cats do not talk and the charges go away. #caturday #caturdayeveryday

Years of study to be what I am today #caturday #caturdayeveryday

If you do not have a stockpile that will last a long long time, the second best time to do so is today... "U.S. Government to Block International Prescription Shipments Next Month U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has enacted a new policy governing international mail shipments , with key requirements scheduled to take effect on October 22, 2026. We have just learned that, under the planned implementation by CBP and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), virtually all prescription-medication parcels will be prohibited from entering the United States beginning on that date." #prescription #drugs #international #mail

I am back in the city again, using $0.03/KWh. I paid $4 for electricity last week, but I miss my #offgrid cabin in the country with zero utility bills. Oil and gas consumption in this country is NOT sustainable and requires subsidies for it to exist. I wish the electrical grid was subsidized and was absolutely free to share the crazy excess solar and battery power with my neighbors. So much power it is insane. My solar system is a smaller one, 10KW/KWh, but the average home uses only a kilowatt or two on average. What do you do with the rest of that surplus? You could open up the windows and doors while the heat/cold is running, charge the EV, run the clothes dryer, but there's still surplus. Stop supporting the unsustainable whale oil industry. The time could be now. Wars and borders would be a billionaire relic of the past. You want nuclear power, nuclear fusion from the sun is free and safe, but please use sunblock to keep your skin young and body healthy.

I made a mistake and now I am paying the bill. I tried a "body wash" in the shower, believing that it would be a nice experience. It was scented. Now my smell receptors are saturated, my eyes are watering, and my nose puckered up and trying to crawl inside my head. It was like walking the floor of a candle making facility. Or spilling a bottle of "essential oils." What part of the distillation tower of a petrochemical refinery did they extract this from? Was it from the slop buildup in the heat exchangers they clean out every week? The smell is bad as the eye watering metabolism of too much saturated fats and excessive Mitochondrial outer membrane permeabilization (MOMP). The honeybees, pollinators, raccoons, and feral cats would not approve and offer to take this bottle of cursed fragrance to the quarantined area far from the wildflowers and bury it deep to rest with the peaceful graves our fallen dinosaurs. Moral of the story: always check the ingredients.

@catsalad@infosec.exchange do not want slopcodes in my opcodes! #NeverSlop

So... getting ready for work and the first thing do is start the coffee maker. It made a few usual grinding noises as expected then *thump* blinking light. Something went wrong. I do what everyone does, look up the model and basic fault information in the search engine. Pages of AI slopumentation. Each link had a Cloudflare click through with zero specific information on the model, but the same decades old generic troubleshooting steps paraslopped for everything with different CSS/CMS layouts. The search engine that everyone loves has zero relevant links into pages of slopfarms. So what did I do, lifted the cover and reseated the burr grinder, no tools required. Blinky light stopped and pushing the button again started making my drug. #AI

@ai6yr@m.ai6yr.org Seems like we are having all kinds of devastating disease outbreaks after Brainworms was appointed to be in charge of health services🤔

@alexadeswift@lgbtqia.space Yes, it was DDG 😹

@azonenberg@ioc.exchange I believe the greatest standard from telephony was 48V and rack mount electronics. Rack mount and 48V all the things! extreme reliability and efficiency!

@ai6yr@m.ai6yr.org I remember one hill in La Jolla I used to walk across every day to school and back. Mt. Soledad, the mountain of steep silt with luxury homes overlooking the shore built upon it. Even has a wikipedia page that mentions the "land events" but somehow they have money to keep the houses upright.

Superfluidity is the characteristic property of a fluid with zero viscosity which therefore flows without any loss of kinetic energy. When stirred, a superfluid forms vortices that continue to rotate indefinitely. Superfluidity occurs in two isotopes of helium (helium-3 and helium-4) when they are liquefied by cooling to cryogenic temperatures. It is also a property of various other exotic states of matter theorized to exist in astrophysics, high-energy physics, and theories of quantum gravity.[1] The semi-phenomenological theory of superfluidity was developed by Soviet theoretical physicists Lev Landau and Isaak Khalatnikov. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supercritical_fluid #eepy #longcat #physics #caturday #caturdayeveryday

@oldguy52@techhub.social I would try swapping out the power supply...the capacitors have a rated lifetime in hours on their datasheets...

@mildpeach@mstdn.social @courtcan@mastodon.social that is exactly the endgame of Big Pharma, our drug prices are high now, but cutting off the remaining alternatives...

@bielsubob@infosec.exchange hopefully ALL these nuke plants can be replaced with solar and batteries quickly.

@bitchboss@marcella.masto.host Yes, here in the USA, the price of estradiol valerate 100mg, I had quotes up to $760. Price for 100 grams powder from China, $380, or $1200 per kilogram, shipped. Many orders of magnitudes difference. Yes, purity was verified with NMR many times and it is good. Real good.

@TCatInReality@mastodon.social The only valid use case I can think of for private jets in my experience is "hotshotting" a critical part to the manufacturing plant within hours, to keep the infrastructure supply chain running and hundreds of employees on the clock. This was parts for machines that make what is required to keep your city's utilities running. We had no problems making those phone calls and waking anyone up that was necessary, including government officials.

@gnomekat@tech.lgbt yup... and is their a gender neutral term for Reply Guy, because I want to know.

@h4ckernews@mastodon.social yes, I can tell where in the world I am by listening to the birds. I know the voice of my people.

In these times, we have to get roommates to share the rent #void #caturday #caturdayeveryday

@salvador@gardenstate.social if we can only engineer proteins in plants to leverage the sunlight's ionizing radiation to break down PFAS and other microplastics.

@alexadeswift@lgbtqia.space Let me know what works as the best search engine! I may be giving Startpage a try, I believe Qwant really does not like my VPN, but I will keep trying...

@drahardja@sfba.social The year is 2041, all the generations of AI datacenters have finally reached end of life, working on one problem how to fix climate change. The answer is 42. That is the year, where we will no longer perceive change. Or anything.

@stevewfolds@mastodon.world I am afraid you will be correct. The last two shipments were routed through the other very authoritarian country.

@VeroniqueB99@mastodon.social so sad too, every time a border changes, many people died to make that happen. And the borders changed many times in history. The borders only benefited the wealthiest of power players. When they buy the media, they buy influence and convince us to fight for them.

@oldguy52@techhub.social or if you have access to an oscilloscope, the ripple should be less than 100mV on each supply. If there is 1.000V supply, the ripple should be much lower... I do temperature testing on embedded computers to find defects. Heat or cold can shake out defect areas. Heat usually finds bad solder and connections and cold usually weeds out bad silicon. A hair dryer can work in a pinch, but try not to exceed absolute maximum ratings, usually about -40C-+70C for consumer/aircraft or +125C for automotive grade. Sometimes I will take it down to -65C for the troublesome units.

@VeroniqueB99@mastodon.social When I worked with hazmat, our motto was, "don't end up in a YouTube video!"

Do 48V USB PD devices even exist yet? If so, where? This could be an awesome PD for solar system as a safer way to route DC across the house.

Me rolling up to the party #caturday #caturdayeveryday
