--<><> Fulfilling tech job alert <><>-- My wife works at a university here in Cleveland, and this job recently opened in her department. If you are web and CMS savvy and would be happy developing and delivering web content and supporting other departments in the same, give it a look. Great team, smart people, sane work culture. No tokenmaxxing; just helping real people create and deliver real content like the good old days. No matter where you are in your career, if you're allergic to hustle culture and you're looking for something genuine, this is it. (Full time, on site + some hybrid, based in Cleveland.) https://employment.case.edu/psc/ERECRUIT/EMPLOYEE/HRMS/c/HRS_HRAM_FL.HRS_CG_SEARCH_FL.GBL?Page=HRS_APP_JBPST_FL&Action=U&FOCUS=Applicant&SiteId=1&JobOpeningId=14779&PostingSeq=1

Fireworks at the community garden. #BloomScrolling

@fedops@fosstodon.org @stefano@mastodon.bsd.cafe @bsdtv@mastodon.bsd.cafe I'm with you. Completely agree. You're all welcome to join me in my new rural community called "seems Amish, but is a bunch of disgruntled ex-techies"

@david_chisnall@infosec.exchange This combination enabled time travel for me, so I started it last year.

@splitbrain@fedi.splitbrain.org This is such a plague IRL also :/

@adriano@lile.cl @Lyle@cville.online @skyfaller@jawns.club Same here. I have two teens now, but those first few years were a seismic re-shaping of my life and soul. Are you wrestling with anything in particular right now?

Got a little misty when Reed's voice came back on the comms after the re-entry blackout. What a great return. Bravo NASA and ESA. 👏

@briankrebs@infosec.exchange @parismarx@mastodon.online Truly astonishing.

RE: https://hachyderm.io/@molly0xfff/116992284596853424 Molly White doing the lord's work, as usual. 🏆️

I am finding this really exciting, honestly. 90 secs to separation.

@carnage4life@mas.to "siri, define irony"

@Richard_Littler@mastodon.social They may have temporarily co-opted our attention, but they have not taken our tools. 💪

@DecAnseo @sarahdalgulls Good ole Sir Terry. He saw so much.

@lehtimaeki@snapp.social Very insightful. A lot of what you said here applies in the government IT purchasing arena, also.

@aral@mastodon.ar.al @_elena@mastodon.social 100% agree that one of the worst impacts of this blundering is the stain on the European Alternatives movement as a whole.

@koen_hufkens@mastodon.social Agreed; this is the mostly likely post-correction reality. Ed Zitron says he's watching for data center / scaler capital expenditure pullbacks as the first signs of correction.

@willsigg @benroyce 👋 One more Welcome from up the street in Lakewood. I reached out to say thanks on LinkedIn but am much relieved that you came here.

@0xabad1dea@infosec.exchange There's a great time travel story in there somewhere.

@Lightfighter@infosec.exchange @MissConstrue@mefi.social I do so love it when Off The Record becomes On The Record. 🌞

@loriemerson @mediaarchaeologylab I'd love to see a video of this in action!

@smallsolar @circfruit this is super interesting; thanks for sharing!

@colo_lee oh heh 😅 well it's a nice one!

@codinghorror@infosec.exchange Solid list Jeff, but I really don't understand why you're being a dick to @tante@tldr.nettime.org about this. "focus fire" also means minimizing friendly fire against key allies :/

@mattly As a former and long-time smoker, can confirm and fully endorse Mike's POV.

@venya Love this. So many beautiful pianos just get dumped or sold for $100 because they're hard to move. I saw one on the curb once and I'll never forget that. My mother's old upright is in our living room and the kids play around on it constantly. It makes me happy.

@MASTERBOOTRECORD See you on the 29th!

@codemonkeymike That's just malicious. 😠

@codemonkeymike ugh, how infuriating. Such a waste.

@Natasha_Jay 👏

@mediaarchaeologylab @loriemerson nice, thanks! I'll have a look.

@JulianOliver 👏

@deewani haha, thanks!

@peter All I can say as a 30-year tech participant, is I agree with you about the current state of things, and I believe there is still a foundation of principled work out there. Some people really want it and care about it; there's just a huge amount of noise overshadowing those people right now. I truly believe it's temporary, but I also sympathize with anyone moving to work outside the industry. I've had similar thoughts myself.

@abdalian @mroach Another Onion print subscriber here. In-person circulation is another nice feature of the print Onion. My father in law loves it but rarely uses a computer, so I save my old copies and bring them whenever we visit.

@colo_lee Colorado trails make me happy.

@sol@typo.social what! amazing to learn this.

@brucelawson@social.vivaldi.net Time to rewatch "Smartest Guys int the Room"... 📉

@cabel@social.panic.com brilliant find 🏆

@lehtimaeki@snapp.social best of luck with this! 💪

@bbbhltz Disappointing to see that today's Wired is not the original Wired I loved. But I shouldn't be surprised.

@codinghorror@infosec.exchange They're doing such great and important work. Thanks for supporting them.

@weirdestate@eigenmagic.net Ain't nobody looking to keep up with cleaning and maintenance on 14,000 interior sqft.

@benjamin Oof. (also, hello Baudrillard rabbit hole 🕳️ !)

@OrdRadical@beige.party @0xabad1dea@infosec.exchange ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Love it

@bransonturner@mastodon.social this is amazing.

@jessamyn brilliant! 👏

@0x00string@infosec.exchange @sarahtaber@mastodon.online 😆
