Possibly a #Luddite. Definitely #AntiFascist.

I drove my son to the accordion society meeting. He can drive me home.
I see your $90 bike basket and I raise you a milk crate and <$2 in machine screws and washers
As with the Duke of Wellington at Waterloo, it was a near run thing
A fun thing about using a battery/inverter system is being VERY aware of power efficiency. Mine has multiple USB and USB-C outlets (with PD) and that is by far the most efficient way to use it.
If you have to turn on the power inverter to run things from the AC outlet, you lose a lot in the conversion process. This is especially silly since most of those things are wall warts converting it right back to DC.
Result: I heavily favor buying things which can run off 12VDC or USB.
The storage unit is EMPTY. Everything we own is at the house. If we can't find a place for it here, we get rid of it.
This sort of work is peak live music performance, but also system design. Fascinating look behind the scenes at how The Late Show (RIP) band performs, adapts, and improvises against constant moving targets.
Pedal boards, talkbacks, guitars, workflows, etc. Something for everybody.
The 90s dad rock cover band is soliciting singers. We are waiting to hear back on availability, but these are our singer test songs that I need to be able to nail (on bass) by Monday.
"My Own Worst Enemy" (Lit)
"When I'm Gone" (3 Doors Down)
"Possum Kingdom" (The Toadies)
"Fine Again" (Seether)
"Stacy's Mom" (Fountains of Wayne)
I know them mostly and none are super hard, esp if I don't have to sing any of 'em. (We might put up with a lot just to not have to sing lead any more.)
A guest speaker this evening at church has absolutely no idea how to use a microphone and I have given up trying to compensate (on the mixing board).
My wife and firstborn are going overseas for a church mission trip for 10 days, where they will help build a home for a local church.
This means 15yo mini-me and I have the house to ourselves.
Plans:
- label the power breaker box
- wire the house for CAT6
- set up the rain barrels
- put shelving up basically everywhere
- watch so many movies
- have no drama
I don't care about #opera at all and this is fascinating and entertaining. Clearly a production of enthusiasm and love, rather than algorithm-chasing.
At least two of these things are not like the others
