@hexamander@infosec.exchange 2nd rule.
Buy the supplies in the off season so I don't care how long they take or if they're backordered.
I'll learn to do that consistently some day ...

@lumi@c.im Well, the south koreans. But, I suppose I wouldn't have guessed all those for you either, although I don't think I know you well enough to have many thoughts about your opinions on these subjects. Which does lead to the question of why I would think I know the S Korea well enough to have thoughts about the people's opinions on these subjects ...
In any case, it's interesting. I'm learning ...

When my partner's sister was in college, she had a roommate who was a princess in some minor European nobility. The princess part doesn't really matter -- she was very nice -- except for the implied life of privilege.
One day, the princess was going to the grocery store and asked if anyone needed anything. "Potatoes please!".
When the princess returned, she said "I'm very sorry, but the potatoes were all dirty".
I think of her every year while harvesting ...

This one's a male -- I didn't get a good photo of the red spot on his head but he did have it.

RE: https://mstdn.social/@coloradosun/116958568947911922
I would love to see real rail on the Front Range.
I've already been paying for one for a couple decades.
I'm having real trouble imagining anything ever working with RTD involvement.
That's the problem with having a track record...
My answers: it won't, too much, and never. Which makes me sad.
I'll probably vote for it anyway cause how I can vote against rail?

Something folks might want to know about ...
And the give away that it's a done deal by another of Polis's "regulators" is:
“We will make sure people have the chance to share their thoughts to ensure we take their concerns into account while drafting strong, legally enforceable permits that protect the air we all breathe,” said ACPD director Michael Ogletree.
While we issue permits, not while we consider if we should issue permits

@dalfen@mstdn.social On the other side of it all, I just had a minor procedure earlier this week. Infusion performed by a nurse.
She did not use AI transcription.
I read the visit notes afterwards (I get access to those and always review them).
It was 95% compliance items that she didn't do.
The infusion part was great: done professionally by a friendly caring health care worker.
The notes were full of "discussed this and patient verbally agreed". None of those happened. I assume it was a CYA move...

@dalfen@mstdn.social One of my last visits, my primary care doc asked if she could use an AI transcription service. I asked her about it and she pretty convincingly explained that it gives her more time to actually spend with patients. Otherwise, it's less attention in the appointment and an equal amount of time as she spent with me afterwards writing it up. She said she always reviews the notes in detail and corrects them if there are errors. I ended up saying yes.

Haven't tried sunflower seeds. I see a lot of basil sunflower seed recipes. One with kale.
I bet a dried tomato pesto would be good with sunflower seeds...

@Caiotekit@convo.casa I make them on ordinary bread too - anything crusty works.
Of course I always make them whenever I make bolillos. But a slice of sourdough works great the rest of the time.

@AncTreat5358@lgbtqia.space since the main advantages of a dishwasher are reduced water usage and convenience, if you have to thoroughly wash the dishes before putting them in this machine, that pretty much wipes out those advantages.
Many years ago we lived in a group house w/ an old dishwasher that had long since broken. We took off the door and just used it as a built-in under-the-counter set of drying racks ...

Did you save your own seed? Squash are super eager to hybridize with anything nearby plausible -- you have to work harder than I do to get true seed from squash.
Or, whoever you got the seeds from didn't do a good job of keeping them all straight...

@FediTips@social.growyourown.services I think this puts the burden in the wrong place. Esp'ly since no visible posts is strongly correlated to no profile picture & no interaction. If people want to be lurkers & watch public posts, whatever. But, if they want to interact on social media, they should figure out how to seem like a real person.
You do explain how they can avoid this situation in the next post. And that puts the burden where it should be: on the person who wants to appear as more than an empty head. Good.
