Ok, I know I vague posted some sadness a little over a week ago, but I am now vague-posting some gladness. Squeee!! Can't say anything yet, but it's so good!
My first time (finally) attending #Nbpy was a delight! There were real birds tweeting, horses with opinions about lambdas, and many very lovely human beings who care deeply about tech being a friendly, thoughtful and empowering force in the world. Thank you to the organizers and volunteers for creating this space!

@jeffowski In PE I learned square dancing (where the teacher picked the awkward kids to gender flip for the cleanup square) and how to try to avoid getting hit in the face during dodge ball (bc the worst kids in class always got the ball) and how to pretend to not to care what people think (when the teacher ranked 4th graders in gymnastics and displayed it outside the lunchroom for a week.) Stretches and carrying would've been so useful.

If you want something a little darker, try Indira Das's The Devourers. It's a shape shifter story spread across a few timelines with queer and gender expansive characters. Finally, if you want more lesbian witches (plus a ghost!) solving mysteries, try The Undetectables series by Courtney Smyth, that follows a group of friends running a magical detective agency.
