@johnefrancis @arstechnica So true. This reminds me of the need for COBALT and AS400 programmers when I started in the 2000s. There were all these jobs for programmers of these old systems but no one new had any experience with them. Ended up having people come out of retirement as consultants to keep the infrastructure going. Though this will be even worse since it will affect all aspects of development not just a subset.

I'm trying to design a #3dprint rounded piece to reinforce my headphone plastic that cracked. It's harder than I'd hoped to get this right. I was planning on designing it from a circle but the curves are not lining up.
Anyone have any tips for designing irregular shapes in #freecad or #tinkercad?
Sat in with some friends at their shoe tonight. They play jazz but they have to clumb it to play 60s and 70s soul music when I am there. I'm not fancy enough to know any Jazz standards 🤷

Yeah, I've seen companies do the same thing. It's the fallacy of sunk costs. They can't go back to the old tech because they've invested too much in the new tech.
I'm seeing more companies now that are trying to move their servers back from the cloud to in house. Honestly, the move everything to the cloud idea was only beneficial to start ups trying to save on capex in case they went belly up. Established companies should be able to budget for a server upgrade every 5-7 years
