@bitinn People use it. I've gotten at least one "ChatGPT said..." message, which ofc was wrong. But I don't and I haven't seen any requirements stated anywhere. I usually don't have problems that can't be solved by a quick noai.duckduckgo-ing, or requiers proper research and thinking. And the LLMs does not RTFM.

Their one liner definitely sounds like a possible solution. But you'd need it to support international payments for it to be a proper alternative to the big card companies.

So if you run linux you'd have it installed... unless you chose not to compress your kernel. libcurl as a second if you want to talk over a network. Then sql, cause everything needs a database now days. Lastly OpenSSL because "security is out of scope for our LAN only thingamajig that's definitely never going to be connected to the Internet". But I'm basing this on a guess that Linux use trumps network use, which might be naïve.

@0xabad1dea@infosec.exchange It always surprises me how bad programmers/compscis are at computers. As soon as many of them have too leave their abstraction they panic. Personally I think knowing how the system actually works makes me better at all parts of using it including programming. But that's rarely what is thought in school.

I think it might be genetic to be slightly triggered by the "incorrect" use of kanelbulle as a Swede. So just ignore me.
