Hubs just made us fancy drinks for sitting with on the patio. Fresh, muddled lime, mint and melon liqueur. (And rum and soda)
I'm calling it a Reflecting Pool

Hey I don't do photoshop or anything, but you've inspired me...
I was living in the basement to keep my head cold away from my mid chemo husband and realized this friendly weirdo was keeping me company. 😁

Welcome! This place is great and there's lots of people who will engage with you. #dogsOfMastodon is very popular and any other interest you may have is probably here as well. Just stick a # in front of the topic and start searching and following. You'll get more feedback and boosts if you can #AltText your images because there are lots of people here who rely on image descriptions. Otherwise, just post any question and #askfedi and you'll get a bunch of helpful suggestions.

I think everyone should stop the pump when they reach $86.47 -take a picture and post it. Maybe tag it # GasPrices or whatever - lots of good options.
(Then continue putting in as much gas as they want/need/can afford.)

Maybe the technology to go to Mars should actually just be left here and used for those of us left on Earth to survive the temps that seem, inevitably, to be getting as hot as Mars.

Canada! Apparently we have a hand in this bullshit too! Let's try to stop it !!
"A Greenland Energy representative has said a vessel carrying its 300 shipping containers of drilling equipment is to set sail from Canada on 12 September. Sinking the wells would begin in October.
Jeff Landry, the hard-right Louisiana governor serving as Trump’s Greenland envoy, has said Greenland could be pumping oil next year."

Lol. Is that a "photo dump" ?
Years ago, we were on a bird watching boat trip in Nfld and my youngest had a puffin dump on her forehead. Funny, but it burned her skin. The crew was quick to respond, grabbing wet cloths to clean her up and hold to the spot. Memorable.
