Nein, das ist kein "Hack von #Signal", das ist klassisches #SocialEngineering und funktioniert mit jedem Kommunikationsmittel bis hin zum Telefon. Ich empfehle hierzu uralte Literatur von #KevinMitnick der mal als meistgesuchter Hacker galt und kaum bis nie Firmen via Computer (only) gehackt hat.
Das Positive an der Nachricht ist, dass #Signal offenbar technisch so gut abgesichert ist, dass nur noch der Angriff auf den Faktor Mensch Erfolg verspricht.

This suggests like any human-written code does not contain parts that do have unclear copyright status or harmful code.
I do not agree with that rationale.
The survey had no option like adding ai-labels so that people might decide on their preferences or other options. It was basically "#LLMs are super fine", "LLMs are the devil" & "I don't want to decide".
To me, this sounds like religion where you've been told what to think. Such people can't be reached by arguments any more.
There are good arguments against #LLM but we've partly left this kind of discussion as it seems. I'd avoid such communities.

Der meiner Meinung nach Interessante dabei ist, dass #Microsoft beim Update von #Windows offenbar automatisch beliebige Hersteller-Software ungefragt am System installiert.
Kann man offenbar mit einer Gruppenrichtlinie abschalten. Allerdings kann ich mir gut vorstellen, dass dadurch einige normale Gerätetreiber usw. dann nicht mehr wunschgemäß geladen werden. 🤷
Sorry, es gibt wirklich kaum noch Argumente für #Windows11 und immer mehr für einen Umstieg auf ein modernen #Linux-System.

As somebody who can't drink #coffee because it doesn't taste acceptable to me, I'm inclined to like the process of making it.
I got myself a #frenchpress and #lupine coffee substitute from a Bavarian startup called #loffee.

However, I think you've got the Org point of view perspective and I want to promote Orgdown to people who will never hear of Emacs or are even opposing the use of Emacs. Totally different turf and hosting information at org or worg doesn't help here.
That's totally different perspective and the way non Org people stumble over information.
After all, the #Emacs community never differentiated the tool #Orgmode from the much more general lightweight #markup language #Orgdown. The focus of #OD is the latter and I want to promote that by mostly neglecting any connection to Emacs, Elisp and the communities involved. Not directing people to the mixup of information on Orgmode.org was a very deliberate decision of mine.

#Passkeys (oft phishingresistent aber nicht immer dank Vertretungsfeatures usw.)
PW-Manager mit Browser-Addon (berücksichtigt auch den URL)
PW auf Zettel aufschreiben (eesy ist im geteilten Büro wohl unpraktikabel)
... sind allesamt meistens sicherer als #eesy.
Aber cooles Konzept für Menschen, die mit nur 11 Passwörtern auskommen und eesy überall dabeihaben können, wo #Passwörter eingegeben werden müssen.

Sorry @bsi@social.bund.de , wird auch bei Wiederholung nicht besser. #Passkeys sind fast immer besser als #Passwörter aber spätestens seit der Einführung von Vertreterprozessen und ggf. auch Backupsync-Prozessen gibt's wieder Raum für #Phishing-Attacken.
Das Problem dabei ist, dass für die Bequemlichkeit wieder mal #Sicherheit geopfert wird.
Wer wirklich sichergehen möchte, braucht ein #FIDO2 Hardware Token, wo diese Prozesse zum Auslesen der Geheimnisse nicht funktionieren.
Nochmals: Passkeys ist fast immer besser als Passwörter aber der absolute Schutz gegen Phishing ist nicht überall mehr gegeben und somit empfinde ich die Behauptung als schlecht für unsere Profession und auch nicht hilfreich für die Sensibilisierung.

The fork "og" is only supporting MD. The DB version never got Orgdown in the first place.
So either way, Orgdown is dead with logseq.
They're even have to discuss questions if Markdown files are supported in future (see FAQs). 😲

However, it is far from easy for my migration approaches 'cause it produces all sorts of effects when converted that way into other formats.
All paragraphs as headings may be a valid approach when you stick to Orgdown but it is a mess when converted that way.

I got my fair share from that.
While riding my #bike to the Volleyball training, I got into very heavy rain, thunderstorm as well as hail. 😞
Because none of that was part of the #weather forecast, I had inappropriate shoes (feet were swimming in water), rain protection trousers weren't able to protect any more, rain jacket kept dry but water came through the openings.
Soaking wet all over.
After the training, I had to put on all the wet stuff for riding home. Not very pleasant experience today.

However, some megacorps are extending passkeys to allow for sharing and moving keys. Unfortunately, you lose the phishing protection with that as well.
So yes, some passkeys setups aren't protection against phishing any more. 😞
Therefore, I use user/password + #FIDO2 hardware token when it *really* needs to be secure and #TOTP for the rest.
Even with passkeys, FIDO2 hardware tokens don't support those convenience features where #passkeys lose #phishing protection.

So sieht unser #Gardena #Husquarna #Rasenmäherroboter-Kabel nach ein paar Jahren aus. Das Plastikmaterial hat überall Fehlstellen, das Kabel tendiert zum Korrodieren und dann hat man viel Spaß bei der Fehlersuche. 😞
(1) Nützt hier professionelles Verlegen mit einer Maschine, damit Kabel weiter unten verlegt ist und das ggf. besser schützt?
(2) Hat jemand Erfahrungen mit alternativen Kabeln, die robuster sind?
