New post: Google still can't make an accessibility menu accessible. Put more than one service on Android's accessibility shortcut and holding the volume keys brings up a menu with no speech, at the exact moment no screen reader is running. Apple and Microsoft solved this years ago. I fixed it in ten minutes at one in the morning. #Google ist vielleicht ein #Drecksladen. ich hatte das automatische Sichern in Google Photos abgestellt, weil ich nicht will, dass die ihre KI mit meinen Bildern trainieren und ab dann mit #Immich gesichert. Soeben muss ich feststellen, dass die das offenbar unilateral wieder reaktiviert haben, ohne es mir mitzuteilen.

So great to ignore random market trends until it's old news: two years after it happened I now learned that Google stopped selling the Chromecast. I was asked by family if I could get them another one. Well we don't want a Google TV streamer so the answer is nope. As @mainframed767@infosec.exchange and others warned, don't commit to #google products. They'll eventually abandon or "at best" deprecate whatever product or service you were enjoying.

La Smart TV del living a partir de hoy empezó a mandar propaganda encima de la salida HDMI1 que es la salida de una Mini PC que usamos con Plex... Denme un momento para procesar esto sin agarrar la TV a hachazos en este mismo momento. Ostatnio mama poprosiła mnie abym jej zaktualizował Pixela 7a (stockowy soft). Aktualizacja do Androida 17 przeszła gładko, tylko telefon złapał bootloopa 😅 Skończyło się na wchodzeniu do recovery mode'a i ręcznym montowaniu systemowej partycji. Ciekawostka żeby zobaczyć recovery menu trzeba czekać prawie 5 min na ekranie oczekującym na komendy z laptopa. Google to taka mała firma można jej wybaczyć prawda? 🙃 #pixel #google #android

At this stage of the game, it seems incredibly stupid for #Signal to require people to set up a payment method with #Google to permit people to sign up for Signal without using a phone number. Better not to even offer that option than to force that behavior given that Google has gone full MAGA and really can't be trusted anymore.
