#Intro #Introduction Hello, I'm a Master's student at Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, my post-graduate program is PESC (Programa de Engenharia de Sistemas e Computação - https://pesc.coppe.ufrj.br/pt/) and my current subject of study is Decentralized Social Media in the lens of CSCW (Computer Supported Cooperative Work) and HCI (Human-Computer Interaction). Next month I'll be attending to my first international congress (CHIRA 2026 - https://chira.scitevents.org/Home.aspx?y=2026) where I'll present an exploratory paper that propose a Socio-technical Responsability Allocation Framework for Alternative Social Media. This account was made with the intent of meeting fellow researches and enthusiasts of Mastodon and other Decentralized Social Medias. I'm always looking foward to learn, make great exchanges and help in the making of new era of Digital Commons. #researcher #fediverse #decentralization #CSCW #HCI #DecentralizedDigitalCommons #DigitalCommons #SocialMedia #Science #SocialComputing #UFRJ#FediScience #PESC

#postdoc #hiring - I have a 1-year opening to be started early next year (possibility for 1-year renewal) in #hci and #edtech in a Horizon Europe project on adolescents' reflective usage of digital media. The ideal candidate will be interested in mixed methods research design, and in designing and evaluating engaging and reflective technology in this area. Contact me for questions, applications must be via the job portal: https://jobs.tugraz.at/en/jobs/0bffdb1b-7815-4306-8044-e5f674b58f6e @tugraz@birdsite.am-institute.swiss

Hello #fediverse! Thanks to my new DFF grant, I'm now looking to hire a PhD student to join me at AAU in Aalborg 🇩🇰 to work on "usable decentralization", i.e. on making distributed and federated cloud services accessible to the everyday user. For more details, see link below, and please don't hesitate to DM me with questions! https://www.vacancies.aau.dk/phd-positions/show-vacancy/vacancyId/895183 #HCI #academia #getfedihired #decentralization #AAU #Aalborg #Denmark #selfhosted #selfhosting

Heute habe ich echt was daraus gelernt: automation bias. Automation bias is the propensity for humans to favor suggestions from automated decision-making systems and to ignore contradictory information made without automation, even if it is correct. DOI: 10.2514/6.2004-6313. Danke, Prof. Hastie! #automationBias #kognitiveVerzerrung #hci #Automatisierungsfalle #Computergläubigkeit #Automatisierungsbias #doubleAIbias #kiNeinDanke #KünstlicheDummheit
