@cR0w@infosec.exchange I'd pivot and start a business. I can't be the only one with the same car or bike, and there will be lazier people than me out there who don't wanna change but want the security of safety so they'll outsource it. I'd do thr work for a fee in hopes that it offsets my burnout.

I visited one to pick up a buddies car and the trendy young managers and shops have a whole software suite now to manage from injest to customer handoff. Does inventory management, invoicing, customer portal... I was impressed with this SaaS but concerned for this shop and possible data lockout with this walled garden.
Likely you can tie such a system into a PBX or VoIP line to take care of bottom barrel customer issues, have canned responses, or have it touch a LLM for natural language responses.

Eventually, I got lazy but pretty much adopted what you proposed.

Am I reviewing how a public utility I pay for, rely upon to function in society, and expect quad 9s of uptime that had an infrastructure outage for multiple hours, and you want to know how pleased I was about the outage?
Or was it the experience I had dealing with loopholes and online forms that were JUST *BARELY* mobile friendly enough to fill out to report said outage?

Absolutely root your consoles when support dies off. It's a great way to breathe in new life.

I have nothing to stand on with an expired A+ and just a ISC2 CC I can almost never find enough free credits for.
Aircon is working HARD today. Stepping outside gives my body a shock due to the wall of heat. Feels like Arizona or Vegas. FFS it's October.
Working on a small coding passion project and strictly using free credits and local LLMs to build it, in a LinkedIn-speak way, is helping me understand how much prep work project managers and leaders put into a project. A surprising amount of front load.
And I do all that prep work with a LLM anyway. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I'm still wrangling "hotshot junior engineers" while I slam my keyboard prodding them along the feature set I'm looking for, so I don't think most PMs are out of a job yet.
