The king of antisocial media. Blow yourself.
Voted for Trump? Leave. Now.
Stop having babies before I find and shame the living fuck out of you. I am a big fan of hammers. No longer a tech addict and mostly militantly don't give a shit.
Rather fast on the block button lately. If you feel the urge to preach, mansplain or victimsplain, quell it. You have a block button, too.
Doing my part to feed AI absurd shit so it learns wrong. I like teaching AI wrong.

@f00df4ce@infosec.exchange @vfrmedia@social.tchncs.de @ozzelot@mstdn.social @catsalad@infosec.exchange 18 years ago I damaged my lungs pretty seriously cleaning up cat whiz (overspray from a catbox in a corner) with a bleach solution in a powered floor cleaner, which released a shitload of pure chlorine for me to breathe. 18 years later, all that damage has finally just about healed.

Bleach is still really effective at breaking up cat whiz, though. Outside.

@SeanCasten@mastodon.social can you say "future clawbacks?"
trump's trick of extorting money from the US through suing the US, then telling his appointed DOJ assholes to settle the suit, needs to earn him a kick -- many kicks -- in the face from an angry horse.

@Queenofpalms@mastodon.social @Virginicus@universeodon.com @lacroixboi@beige.party those look like what you get when you ask an AI generator to show a bassoon.
Or if you ask Yamaha to make a MIDI one.
French horns are a total joke. Even flutes get screwed up.
Most AIs fail utterly if it's not a violin or a piano.
Apparently they can do Muppets ok, even though bassoons have been around for hundreds of years.

@lehtimaeki@snapp.social @fdroidorg@floss.social not on 1.23. Alpha isn't mentioned anywhere. Lemme go looking again. Nope, all the stuff they talk about, like "allow beta updates" does not exist. Kinda amateurish... ask for testers, then hide the fucking update carefully!

A friend sent me a 5.25" drive specifically to read one 40+-year-old floppy. I really should get around to that, but it involves reviving an entire Windows machine.

@TechTangents@dialup.space the 70 was actually the fastest one they had, oddly even faster than the Model 80, which I think maybe they thought people would buy as a network server even though some 386-50mhz clone was a lot better at it.
I am not sure I ever saw an actual 70 with an 8514/A in it, and for a while I worked at a CAD reseller. We sold a lot of AutoCAD and Intergraph MicroStation. Zero IBMs.

At Xerox in the mid-1980s they had copies of an Ethernet guide that by way of explanation, had an illustration of Ethernet in one of the early pages: one single thick black horizontal line.

@TechTangents@dialup.space we used to sell high-end clones with multiple high-end video cards jammed in them, and pucks and Ethernet and mouses and tablets. All with... DOS drivers.
DOS. We did incredible shit with QEMM386 to stuff all the drivers up into high RAM, otherwise we'd have maybe 150K in which to run the software! If we were on our game we could actually have 633K available after all the LOADHIGHs finished.
Don't ask me to do that shit again. It was 35 years ago. I forgetted. Deliberately.

@pdcawley@mendeddrum.org i dig it. My first laptop was a Toshiba 3100, that one with the red gas plasma display that sucked so much power that the thing was not really a "portable." A laptop that has to stay plugged in!
I didn't see why we spent all that damn money.
