This is a design I did a few days ago for @fafo@social.fa-fo.de, an I/V curve tracer for semiconductor testing. The idea here is to create a voltage ramp/sine across a potential semiconductor and trace the current flowing, against the voltage. If there are non-linear characteristics, you will see it in the resulting curve, it becomes curved or kinked.
The board is basically just a specialized AFE for #analog-toolkit, an analog IO dev-board of mine. It's already with the manufacturer, lets see how it will turn out

This is a very cursed setup, an old gobo with a custom stencil from JLCPCB, featuring amongst others the dvd logo. It’s being moved by a mirror on two motors and the colour change is done by a color wheel advancing on every bounce :D this project has been on the backburner (my bedroom) for two years now :'D

I was seeing something like this on an analog signal recently, forcing me to implement a filter. I didn’t know that this type of noise had a name, such as fitting one at that! In the end I found the source for that noise and got it fixed, still, figuring out a filter was quite fun!

I feel like there is no technical reason to not get it fabbed, maybe the feature size will hunt you with the feathered brushes.. :D I wonder what the best way of export would be, I could shove this through altium, but I am sure kicad can process this into gerber as well.. or there probably even is a proper png-to-gerber tool

@SEGFAULT@oldbytes.space what filter do you use? for this white foliage you want to use a ~720nm long-pass filter. I use the second colour inversion as described here: https://blog.janamarie.dev/irphotography.html the imagemagick command would be
magick $INPUT -color-matrix ' 0 0 1 1 0 0 0 1 0 ' $OUTPUT
if you write out the colour matrix, it becomes a bit more readable
