I overheard someone mention that they were glad that I was taking the time to help a man at work. I asked why, and I found out that everyone has been sending people to me, for the reason that I never yell or raise my voice or express irritation with people.
Around the office I’m known as the guy you send the dumbest people to, when they’ve done something unforgivably stupid, because I don’t make them feel bad.
Is that something to put on my resume?

When you buy a copy of a book you love, do you try to get the same edition as the one you first read? Even if that was a cheap paperback?

@jcphoenix@mastodo.neoliber.al Each joke sounds the same. I could make one up right now.
“Clarence Thomas destroying the Voting Rights Act is madness. It’s nonsensical. It makes as much sense as hamsters sacrificing a Venus flytrap to appease their lizard god.”
cut to a photoshop of hamsters with a plant on a stone altar
“You weren’t thinking of hamsters with pagan rituals before watching this show, but now you are! Now you are. And that makes more sense than Clarence Thomas destroying the VRA.”

The analysis includes 1,585 cyclist injuries requiring medical treatment. Overall, injury risk was lower for e-bikes than for conventional bicycles. Seasonal variation was considerable, and the reduced risk associated with e-bikes was not evident in winter.

@sjvn@mastodon.social thankfully we got rid of the system that was so easy a child could understand it, and replaced it with USB-C cables that can be incompatible with USB-C devices

@vwbusguy@mastodon.online it must have been nice to have a president who was not only soberly weighing the issues, but who could express himself clearly and eloquently.

It seems like a good thing that Reader’s Digest Condensed Books and abridged audiobooks don’t sell anymore.
Though I am worried about the ads I get for AI summaries of books instead.
