@theleftistlawyer@mastodon.social Not forgetting that first-ever interracial kiss on prime time TV!

@gairdeachas @datasaurus Bestie and I booked our flights for Ireland & Scotland in September today!

@petrillic@hachyderm.io No, they're too dumb to think of growing them on trees. They think they come from the store.

@seismic007@woof.group Also, it's OK to feel....whatever. I certainly don't expect everyone on here to be happy and shiny all the time - God knows I'm not! As I recently said elsewhere, I like getting to know a whole person - not just to fun, happy, shiny, sexy bits.

@georgetakei@universeodon.com Mostly right, but not all right. There were quite a lot of people, sadly, who voted for deporting our good neighbors and for government thugs shooting citizens in our streets.

@BigGayShaun@mstdn.social I just wanna give her all the pets and skritches!

@LibertyForward1@beige.party In Cincinnati (I think) they serve it over spaghetti, so I can't see how rice would be any worse.

@Footle@tech.lgbt Isn't that just a day ending in -y anywhere in the world, though?

@seatek@hard.blue Honestly, a bit of both. Density is lower in Detroit proper, but whole swathes of the city never recovered from urban flight, fiscal collapse, recessions, etc. So there are also a lot of food (and other service) deserts in the city proper. In the suburbs, there's a lot of mixed use developments - retail, office spaces, small (and large) manufacturing. There might be spots (Ferndale, which is in the first ring of suburbs around Detroit, is an example) where it's walkable to food in all varieties - but it's a lot harder out where I live (basically the outer ring of subrubs/exurbs).

@seatek@hard.blue When I moved to Boulder a bit more than a decade ago, one of the reasons I chose the apartment I rented was its proximity to bus stops and, critically, a grocery store. Having sold my car during my DC stint for Reasons, and given that parking is next to impossible on the CU campus (and costs an arm and a leg just for a permit to hunt, whereas if you voluntarily give up your parking rights on campus, the university gives you a free bus pass). Alas, that arrangement would be much, much harder here in metro Detroit.

@nathanlovestrees :blobcatheart:

@jay Ohai, handsome!

@revndm Yes. In other words, a day ending in -y in this increasingly stupid timeline we're forced to live in. All the more reason for Leo to pull out either an excommunication or an interdict.

@introvertnudist Just be careful with hot liquids!!

@BostonRob@mastodon.social Why hello, Easter Beagle! You look very cute. Would you like some pets and skritches?

@matthewguy Stay warm and safe up there!

@MelkyWay She's gonna climb that tree, one day.

@introvertnudist Is that all towel, or do you have a nonshy shirt on as well?

@acm_redfox Ideally to accommodate the religious needs of servicemembers. In this specific case, probably trying to promote the toxic brand of white muscular Christian nationalism favored by Whiskeyleaks.

@seismic007 :blobcathugyou:

@jay Is that a good one?

@gairdeachas Oooooooooh!

@petrillic :pink_this:

@lukito@gamedev.lgbt "Was a drunken fart/I drink therefore I am"?

@overholt@glammr.us :data_laughing:

@overholt@glammr.us I got a follow-up email yesterday from a flack trying to interest me in their platform. In it, as in the initial inquiry which I reported as spam, he referred to the institution where I have not worked for a decade.

@petrillic@hachyderm.io That's fucking rich.

@lynnemthomas@wandering.shop Safe travels and a happy return!
