Why did no one tell me about furry crossfit?? https://www.rnz.co.nz/life/wellbeing/quadrobics-can-leaping-around-on-all-fours-will-make-you-fit

Quadrobics: Can leaping around on all fours make you fit?

In a new online trend, people are scuttling, crawling, and bounding around on all fours while filming themselves – and their videos are getting a lot of attention. The practice is called quadrobics, and it’s quite the spectacle.

The [is it professional to bring coffee to a job interview] discourse

The most professional thing to do is to bring no beverage and not touch the water they provide.

It establishes upfront:

  • I could be a takeaway latte guy, a 34yo Big Bird mug in the microwave guy or anywhere in between. I will not be revealing this until after signing a contract
  • I don't trust you to wash a glass

Specifically not crimes
I'm diligently reading up on medical cannabis laws and I keep seeing "strictly limited to ensure the sickest patients get it". ... Because of the finite quantity of weed in the universe? As "the sickest patients", I call bullshit. There is absolutely no relationship between getting the medication to me and limiting access for other people. That makes no sense.

By far my biggest hot take on letterboxes is that all the best letterboxes used to be something else. With the exception of the ones made by your local Men's Shed (or probably scout group, CWA, whatever, idk, here it's just the Men's Shed). Those are also excellent. Public mailboxes from anywhere ever are obviously elite tier. But basically any sturdy barrel or dog kennel shaped recycled object at chest level is, in my week of experience, vastly more postie friendly than anything sold as a letterbox.

There's a thread of USA folks explaining to each other why they're all born around September (it's because everyone fucks in the cold).

This is fascinating because just a few days ago my family was discussing why every australian is born in October (because everyone fucks over the new years leave period).

Adjacent to the classic [when a user tells you it doesn't work for them they are almost always right. When a user explains why, they're almost always wrong.]

It's weird that no iconic aussie movie introduces the local context by following the postie to a microwave on a stick over the opening credits.

@Dangerous_beans@aus.social the book is as bizarre as you'd expect. I bought it intending to use it for unusual life drawing references, but I haven't. The sex positions are all demonstrated as photos with models. The closest I can compare them with is medical anatomy nudes, but it's even more artificially formal than that. If anyone is standing they're standing to attention staring straight ahead. If anyone's arm is extended it's to 45° or 90°. Limbs are generally bent to 90° or not at all.
