Ctrl-F is the universal shortcut for search on all GUI systems I've used since the 1980s. Even IBM had it in their CUA standard.
Except for New Outlook where it becomes "forward" the current email.
What on earth was the Microsoft team thinking when they mapped that function to Ctrl-F? There doesn't appear to be any easy way to change it.
