So as Andy Burnham heads to talks with the Tangerine Tyrant, what might he learn from the (unlikely but) relatively clam relations between the President & Zohran Mamdani (mayor of New York). Mamdani sticks to his guns, offering nothing other than civility (in person) to POTUS, and has a clear mandate & vision. Trump may disagree with him, but he recognises a 'winner' and acts accordingly. The Q.is whether Burnham (as an ex-Mayor) can mange something similar? #politics #Trump #AndyBurnham

a lot of criticism towards Andy Burnham related to North Sea drilling completely miss the point. he isn't being lobbied by oil & gas companies, but by leaders of two major Labour-affiliated trade unions who represent oil & gas workers. same people who called refusal by pro-green Miliband to drill in North Sea "madness" and called him being chancellor akin to having "noose around the neck". #ClimateChange #Politics #UnitedKingdom #UK #Ecology #Environment #Renewable #AndyBurnham

Daily Mail front page 2026-07-31: "Burnham admits oil drilling can ease cost of living" So could kidnapping foreigners and using them as slave labour, but we know that's wrong too.
