I love reading alt text because it can reveal more about the personality of the one posting it.
like when it's a picture of a knit sweater and I'm like "okay cool... a sweater" but then click the Alt Text and get this description of the yarn and the stitching used and stuff it's like "damn, they really cared about this"

but I had to weigh the bitching about no ALT Text (which I am an avid bitcher about as well) versus a "sometimes accurate enough, sometimes just face-palmingly horrible" approach and I opted for a docker container on a VM on a NUC being the lesser problem.
If you have complaints about it the best thing to do is to contact the Toronto Zoo's social media team and ask them to add ALT Text as I have done a few times.

So the Project Hail Mary website has downloadable STL files for #3Dprinting two pretty damn cool things from the movie.
HOWEVER if you have not read the book or seen the movie they pretty much are #SPOILERS that you should not even glance at until you have read the book or seen the movie.
But offering 3D printer files has got to be a first for a movie, right? Pretty damn cool and hope it becomes a trend....
...but judging by the number of people printing these things out and selling them on Etsy and shit I doubt it will be. I love 3D Printing so much but damn the amount of people who print everyone else's shit out en masse just to make a buck is really disappointing at times.

Between content warnings and hashtags being useful it's just so easy to perfectly curate. Also I set up @ZooTweetMirrorBot@masto.ai to bring over tweets from my favourite Zoo accounts so I really have no need to go back there.
Also did you know at the Philly Zoo the red pandas have a whole overhead trail they can use so you get to see their little bellies as they scamper over you?

the 24 hour period is stupid and the whole concept annoys me, but i cannot take these constant trending tab posts of "android development is dead you will NEVER be able to install anything EVER", which is just not true. I will still be able to make my own apps and install them on all my devices.

edit: yeah it's right there on the page and as stupid as it is (i get it, middle ground and such), i actually don't like this group's final line here:
