Well, France and Spain have done a good job lowering their CO2 emissions (mitigating climate change). In France they were even lower than expected!

Well, for what I understand, sovereignty and autonomy are not equivalent.
Sovereignty is a more legal sort of term and stronger than autonomy. Autonomy is part of sovereignty but the opposite is not true. I mean, in order to attain sovereignty you need autonomy, it defines it.

It's not ONE system that is making it, the greater polluters (CO2 emissions) live under different systems (opposing systems): USA, China...
It's a combination of having the wrong leaders (who seek mostly personal profit, selfish leaders), and selfish citizens (continue buying cheap crap they don't really need, made at the other side of the world)

I was wondering the same. Specially that in the internet many times there are misunderstandings. We read sentences without having other cues (tone of voice, face expressions), so we can misunderstand a sentence. Specially that we are all from different backgrounds (different native languages, etc).
Sometimes I read a sentence, reply, and 20 minutes later I realize I misunderstood :D (and come back to correct or apologize, whatever is needed ).

But sovereignty seems appropriate since we are talking about not being dependent on another State. The idea is to not be dependent on American technologies (or defense)
