For anyone interested in a mystery. My original American ancestor was named M. Nicar and he immigrated to Norfolk, VA in the late 18th century from Heidelberg, Germany. This is the puzzle. The surname is very rare in the United States and none of us researching it have any idea of where M was originally from because Nicar is not German or Austrian. He's not Asian or Black. I'd like to know if anyone in Europe, Middle East, South America, Central America, or North Africa have had any contact with this surname and its possible connection to Germany. Boosts are greatly appreciated.

Solved the CatchyOS debacle. Now that I know, it should have been the first thing I thought of. There was a kernel update. I rolled back the kernel and blacklisted it from updates for the time being. I still think that Snapper is needlessly confusing to use. I'd rather use Timeshift, but they both can't be installed at the same time. One more thing for me to learn...

The Scribes have a nice sized screen and I think they're in color now, but that's going to be pricey. I have the original model so no color..

Which is laughable because my Dad was just a cheap fuck (as much I love him). As Christians, my parents wouldn't have been in love with the idea of gay as such, but they would have loved me or my brother just as much as they did no matter what. I've always appreciated that freedom and trust because I know so many don't have it...

No recreational weed, though, which, among other things, makes it a hard sell I know. I'll probably move to Gainesville as soon as I work some things out. Alachua is actually bearable. Not as cool as it used to be, but I'll take it... ;>)

In this case, it wasn't an incremental change, it was a whole new version. As far as Snapper goes, I just need to do a little reading and wrap my head around it. It is useful as hell, but I still haven't quite got the hang of it. Cheers, buddy!

Mine is the only size it is now because I couldn't get a smaller one in that particular Bravia model. I think with the Scribe, it's a matter of book-size feel. And I can take notes with it...

I do have a Paperwhite as well, but I could never get into it. The Fires are decent if you want to watch content or read books, but the iPad blows it away. The app store is shit, so I side-loaded Google Play on mine...
