I have a 'pay my rent and bills for a month' subscription tier on my Ko-Fi; https://ko-fi.com/welshpixie/tiers . Someone did it once and it was amazing. Completely stress-free month.

Ah she's rolled over now. The tummy is not a trap - I gave her some scritches :D #Caturday #CatsOfMastodon

I'm a neurospicy spoony pixie whomst relies entirely on income generated by my art, and as of late (quite likely due to continuing ramifications of Brexit on things like customs charges on shipping outside of the UK), income has been a bit pants. If you've got a few bucks spare, the best way you can support me is with a recurring donation, no matter how tiny: https://ko-fi.com/welshpixie https://www.patreon.com/c/WelshPixie1 I'm also selling lots of goodies at Ko-Fi and https://mastodon.art/@welshpixie/tagged/fedigiftshop :)

Duchess going for her vaccines today. She doesn't yet know that I'm about to gravely betray her. #Caturday

https://www.amazon.co.uk/hz/wishlist/ls/20PZ9ELYMCE78 I've got a wishlist of things for the cats here (it's called Duchess but Percy also benefits). The rescue place we foster Percy from only sends the cheap food which isn't great for them long-term so I've been buying the better stuff out of my own pocket but things are a bit tight right now. They also need a new scratch post as they've worn through the other one but that's obviously not as important as food :D The Duchess thanks you

A friend was at this river recently for a wild swim and it was a bit rubbishy, so today, me, Alex, Alex-son, the friend, and his husband, all piled down there to clean it up :D Alex took his snips and cleared a bunch of overgrown bramble and knotweed from the path down, friend and Alex-son both took magnets and fished up all that scrap metal, and me and other friend litter-picked two bags full of rubbish. The river was full of tiny minnows and frogs, it was luscious to swim in!

I've got this book I had hand-made when I lived in South Africa. The dragon eye is made by me, and a friend made this book with it. The pages are gilded with a silvery gold, it has a silver ribbon, purple canvas fabric, and leather down the back. I paid a small fortune to have it done as a test piece, I'm never going to recover that cost because nobody's ever going to pay that much for it But I don't use it and I'd like it to go to someone who would! 1/2

@greg@flipboard.social @mike@flipboard.social ok - so speaking for everyone on mastodon.art (I'm the owner), and everyone on similarly aligned instances to ours (I know this from experience of seeing this kinda thing repeatedly in my years of being on fedi), anything that takes someone's posts, even if they're public posts, and posts them outside of the platform they were originally posted on, needs to be done opt-in with consent given at the start. 1/2

@greg@flipboard.social @mike@flipboard.social If this isn't done, or is done as opt out, the service will likely end up blocked from this side of Fedi as a privacy violation. We all take the stance of 'just because someone makes a public post doesn't mean you have the right to help yourself to that post and share or distribute it in another context without first establising consent'. So I can say 100% that if this takes our members' replies and posts them off Mastodon without consent, we'll block the service.

@greg@flipboard.social @mike@flipboard.social Thanks for that! That's the information I wasn't seeing in the thread I was looking at earlier. :D

I need cash, so for the next couple of hours until I go out, send me a tip (links in my bio) and I will calligraphy you a word, short phrase or small verse, and send you a digital scan of it. 💜

@TheBreadmonkey@beige.party Same here. :otterheart:

@mike@flipboard.social We have threads and the bsky bridge blocked from mastodon.art. Does this respect those blocks? I.e. if one of our community leaves a reply on a Mastodon post that unbeknownst to them is matriculating across all of those different services, I'm assuming that reply WON'T show up on sites we have blocked? (I saw you saying that a reply/interaction on bsky appears on fedi if bridged, I just want to understand and check the scope and security of this)

@Tamami@mastodon.art I know, but it's still pastel and has that lovely pastel softness :D

@alexskunz@mas.to Doing some intense adulting just now and opening this image and staring at it for a few seconds made me take a deep relaxing breath ^.^

@Tamami@mastodon.art Gorgeous! I've been feeling like getting my oil pastels out again recently, this isn't helping XD

@JanaDelBosco@masto.es :D

@amenonsen@flipping.rocks oh dear XD
