@daisy but the velocity is bewildering. it used to be that an entire engineer team made an unmanageable spaghetti over a year from the code base. now it can happen in a single week by a single engineer!

@alineblankertz @Herman besides, currently there’s no leftist opposition and I doubt he can easily catch any more brainwashed fidesz voters by doing more right wing populism (they’ll vote the original) or that he has any incentive to drift further to the right, as this would instantly alienate his quite diverse supporters. I surely hope they wont build a new personality cult behind him, currently I’m carefully optimistic.

@grimm@norden.social ich frage mich warum es nicht öfters mit der Antriebswende kombiniert wird. Einige Solarparks sind verkehrstechnisch gut angebunden und ein CCS Ladestation (4-5 MW) ist zwar nur ein Bruchteil von 80, senkt aber die Gesamtkosten deutlich. Mit Batteriespeicher und dynamischen Ladepreis kombiniert konnte der Solar/Windparkbetreiber statt Abriegelung immer noch Vergütung bekommen; LKWs können um einiges an Energie aufnehmen.

I hope that they know that absolute power corrupts absolutely, and be restrained with it after having reinstated rule of law and democratic institutions. The #miniware #mhp50 tiny hotplate I was using for PCB preheating started showing cooling fan problems. It suddenly stopped spinning. I took it apart, applied 5V directly and it worked fine. Reassembled and it worked. But after 20 or so minutes it started fading (?!) and I think it stopped. The internet is quiet on this issue so either I’m using it wrong or for a bad unit? The fan itself is a bespoke part with a 3-screw shroud and I haven’t found direct replacement. Maybe #followerpower helps?

@blinry@chaos.social have you considered a snorkel? it decouples the ability of breathing from the sensation of having your head submerged. I have one snorkel that is positioned in the middle of my forehead instead of sideways and can be used for freestyle swimming (:

@pseyfert@chaos.social there already is a very comprehensive fast charger network. and 75% of all new cars registered in Germany are internal combustion — it’s not like people are buying used ICEs and new BEVs. Idk what has to change, fuel price could go up a bit more for one…

The conversion efficiency is also why coasting is better than regenerative braking. it’s wild that hypermiling in a BEV and in a classic ICE is still basically the same strategy (use least amount of torque, be it positive or negative)

Aber okay, bisher gab es quasi nur die Windgeneratoren für Segelschiffe die auch nicht gerade günstig waren

@pseyfert I don’t think the 10 Wh that go into the phones make much difference… hybrids don’t really make sense since BEVs are a thing. I’d argue that even without the possibility to home charge (today) go for a bev and try to organize home charging and/or lobby for affordable public ac charging. These days even CCS is cheaper than petrol
