@cstross I remember getting a 4TB drive thinking it would take me ages to fill, then I filled it.
I then realised I don't need to be keeping such giant files.
Lost of videos, previously in 4K HDR, now everything is plain old 1080p and I have space again.
I only have ~250GB of music.
I do have two drives though, so if I break something there's a duplicate.
@kattascha My favourite pizza place doesn't offer delivery and only accepts orders on the phone.

That same power adapter can power a raspberry pi, a travel PC monitor, and a number of other devices.
I always disliked micro USB and mini USB. I am not sad to see Apples proprietary Lightning connector gone either.

@aschmitz @ruari I feel somewhat lucky to be a half hour walk (~10 minute bike) from a near grocery store and a 15 minute walk from both a drugstore and a convenience store.
I mostly don't have to interact with traffic. I cross the road three times to get to the grocery store, and two of the three have little traffic.
My road bike doesn't do winter with its thin tires, but I can walk all year.

@evan This is an interesting question because when I personally see an image on the Fediverse, it may be significantly less likely than for someone else, since I hate AI, block it when I see it, and seek out other people who dislike and don't use AI.

I also wish I had ordered my laptop with 32GB, instead of 16GB DDR5, when it was an 80 USD upgrade, rather than now costing 300+.

Since XBox, GCN, PS2, PS3, and mist recently XBox One S controller I use on my computer, the sticks have always held up for me.

@gwenthefops I use WD Red drives currently, because they were reasonable priced like two years ago when I got them. I got two 8TB drives and they seem to still be going good. The second is just a copy of the first, which I rsync every once in a while when I add new stuff.
Because of that, I'd say WD.
