This view of volunteer work where you just do what you like is strangely specific to FOSS.

That's something I take issue with. There's nothing strange about using your unpaid, free time to "do what you like"

Whether as individual or as a group, as long as you're developing for free, in your own free time, no one has the right to demand anything.

I love how all of the core issues of the ancient "PHP is a fractal of bad design" also apply to AI.

Obviously I had to upgrade a few parts as soon as possible. I kept the touchpad, storage and wifi card from my old upgraded T470, but I wanted a better screen. Actually finding the panel took a while, but it was absolutely worth it.

.mov is a rather unusual format for the internet

Is it? .mov is just the original file extension for ISOBMFF, aka .mp4, before it became the ISO standard (apple still uses the old extension, but that doesn't affect the content)

And the content here is standard LC-AAC with 422 h264, which is also totally fine.

Edit: Chrome refuses to play the file even offline, but if you change the file extension, it works. WTF Google.

DLSS5 is just the "hire fans lol" yassification, automated.
