hazelnot

@blp@framapiaf.org @Unixbigot@aus.social @Benhm3@mastodon.social apologies if I'm butting in, I'm not even sure where wheelchairs are stored during a flight, but if it's in the luggage hold then stuff with lithium batteries is prohibited from being stored there because the hold is sealed off and batteries have a tendency of catching on fire and exploding, and a fire in the luggage hold can and has caused planes to crash

@jasmine@chaosfem.tw oh. So basically we're back to literally no good VPNs then It's either paying fascists or having your data sold to and being tracked by the same fascists 🙃

@dbattistella@mstdn.ca damn, turns out I'd already done this, so at least in theory they're not allowed to do this shit (though I mean let's be real they'll do it anyway but I don't have the time or money to fully switch away from corporate email platforms)

@david@social.piconet.work @signalapp@mastodon.world I think that's kinda the point, plausible deniability for when they arrest people they don't like

@attoparsec@clacks.link what's a weft 😭

@shwell1@aus.social @dbattistella@mstdn.ca this seems pretty old cause iirc Ecosia turned out to basically be a scam and DeepL switched over to LLM-based garbage generation (among other things)

@soph@grrl.me huh. This whole feature strikes me as an incredibly bad idea that's probably primarily used by bigots to harass the people they hate 💀 Not this labeler specifically just, the whole concept of people being able to just slap a label on random users and having others subscribe to it 😬

@mahryekuh@hachyderm.io I don't think flat design in itself was a mistake, it's the fact that terrible implementations of it became the standard Look at the Windows Phone 7 iteration of Metro vs its later incarnations/what Apple and Google did with it for example Metro generally clearly signified stuff like buttons, it was "whatever's enclosed in a circle does something, whatever's in a coloured square takes you somewhere", with pretty much the only exception being the overflow button which was just a "..." on one side of the toolbars Google and especially Apple though really love(d) their unsignified buttons, newer Metro iterations took that design as well, and so did most of the "white on white corporate garbage" flat web design

@xyla@shitpost.trade I asked a friend to translate this to me and he told me it means "fucked whore computers" 😳

@technicolourpenguin@void.lgbt @CharlotteEowyn@chaosfem.tw @lda@masto.doskel.net I find it funny that "a gender" and "agender" actually mean opposite things because of, like, linguistics nonsense

@shwell1@aus.social @dbattistella@mstdn.ca Brave is weird fashy adware and I can't use my bank's internet banking website cause it lacks features the app has and also they didn't actually give me the login details, went to ask for them, and then they didn't give me the instructions and I've been too busy to go again and embarrass myself in front of the employees by asking for them 💀

@leeloo@c.im @jasmine@chaosfem.tw no idea, I didn't know they have a VPN service though

@sammy@cherrykitten.gay @xyla@shitpost.trade yeah but I had no idea what "jebane" meant When I put that post into Google Translate it gave me "fucking fucking computers" and when I tried Romanian it fared even worse, I got "computerele dracu" which means "damn computers" 💀

@gdjp @misty @kete @sarae you can't really. At this point your best bet is to ask the person who posted/claims to have made it and even then they might just lie to you because the people who do this and aren't full-on AIbros harassing artists are deeply ashamed of it because they know what the public opinion is 🥲

@foolishowl @breakfastgolem @Aleums but then they'll be less cool What if we forbid them but also forbid enforcing that so they maintain the coolness of being illegal but without being shitheads ourselves 🤔

@mzedp@plasmatrap.com @SheDrivesMobility@norden.social unfortunately with Catpcha shit people don't really have a choice 😬

@soph@grrl.me ah

@soph@grrl.me so basically like how I can add a note on someone's profile here? Or is it like, they add it themselves?

@soph@grrl.me lmao why does it say "AI hater" under his username

@celesteh@hachyderm.io gives a lot of cover to the aibros who go "um ackhshually all modern computers have AI and you should stop playing video games cause those also have AI" too 💀

@kookie@chaosfem.tw oh hell yeah

@phraktalz @billgoats ooof, I think I narrowly avoided this, but my Kindle isn't jailbroken and I don't even know if it can be? Last time I checked it wasn't cause it was running too new of a firmware, but that was ~6 years ago so maybe things changed since then?

@xgranade yup, learning about maths is fun when I do it from friends or an interesting video or whatever But I've been conditioned to fear and loathe it forever because of how traumatic School Maths™ was

@billgoats wait, killing them off how? o.o

@Shrigglepuss@godforsaken.website goals

@milla@mastodon.art I love her so much

@bean thank you I do it a lot :blobcatfingerguns:

@xyla@shitpost.trade 3 year old phone, but my previous one was 5 years old and I got a second hand Pixel 8 cause the old one wasn't being updated anymore and also I Heavily Dislike Samsung's UI design decisions

@jadedtwin yeah 😔 Does sometimes feel like Romania is the US of Europe though Just a lot poorer and with almost no geopolitical power lmao

@jadedtwin Loyalty Day 😭😭😭😭😭

@jadedtwin if it makes you feel any better (it won't), I hate it here (Romania) too 😎

@ticky@slime.global oh damn, have fun! I haven't played it in years cause getting Mod Organizer up and running with the Steam version on Linux is an absolute pain in the ass 😔

@ticky@slime.global yeah but that's for Wabbajack modlists :( I like setting things up manually, I tend to use a mod guide/list as a base but usually don't use certain mods, or replace them with others, and I always install a ton of others on top too 😅

@ticky@slime.global huh interesting, is there a way to actually access and mess with this MO2 install? :o

@tragivictoria@mastodon.com.pl it's a "random talk" at an official KDE conference, so clearly the official stance is that they want this to happen, which indicates that they're likely gonna just push this through, steamroll the community because a few people at the top want it to happen I really really hope I'm wrong and that it won't happen, and the main reason I made this post is to try put pressure on them to not go through with this, because as a one-time minor contributor this is really the most I can do

@hailey@hails.org @osnews@mstdn.social wait what he said macOS, Gnome, and KDE Plasma do the same thing and I am very suspicious of that claim but also not knowledgeable enough to know if it's bullshit or not 💀

@jadedtwin damn

@kookie@chaosfem.tw now I'm thinking of the scene from Andor when he steals the TIE fighter and... well, adjusts it, in the hangar
