During my bike ride today, I tried to capture a cloud that gave me all spaceship vibes.
But the gas station surveillance camera on my phone wouldn't play ball. Oh well.

After getting help from the Fediverse to identify this fellow, my son and I decided to post more of him.
Here's Cyborg chillin' in his lakeside camp after eating way too much blueberries.
Edit no 2: SOLVED, thank you @Euan@speedlines.stctp.zone @shaknais@mastodon.social !
Our five yo. got a "homework" from kindergarten. To bring a toy with him to every daily happening. We went for a stroll in a forest.
Does anyone know which franchise/universe this is a part of?
We have no idea.
Edit: We named him "Pentti" for the time being or for all eternity.

I may be in danger of being committed after this toot.
I really relate with this wooden frame pile I encountered. Old, grey and a lot of miles behind it. But still upright and strong(ish).
Edit: Neither one of us is a big talker.
😑

To whomever this may concern and to get you a break from the international news:
Your daily driver Windows computer is not obsolete after October 13th 2026. And above all it is NOT E-waste.
Your Apple computer is not E-waste if Tim Cook says so.
Chances are that even the beige DELL tower from 2003, which is currently holding the barn door open, is not obsolete.
And if you have an old/broken computer: please sell or donate it. If nothing else, someone can learn to solder working on it.
Contact your local IT nerd for further questions. The one with an Atari or Amiga T-shirt. Someone you know will know one.
You can also contact IT nerds here in the fediverse. Almost all of us are here.

My son and I think that's Bumblebee from Transformers. Change our minds.

Hard to pick one out of these, but the soldered memory is a big f u to a customer, because that narrows many people out of tinkering.

Yes. I booted an old Compaq with Porteus Linux flashdrive the other day. My friend could not believe his eyes.
He said that he couldn't believe that was happening. Then I proceeded to show similar task with Tiny Core Linux. Only faster. 🙊

Sorry to spam the chat but I had a flashback to playing Onslaught D-Day to Rhine as a teen. I have no idea why. It's a boardgame and if I remember correctly it had octagonal grid spots.
I think I need coffee. Oh man, if only I had more time to play.

I have saved many watt hours of batterylife with a pencil. Because Blind In Texas was so good in the start of the b-side and everyone knows you have to listen to that at least 10 times in a row. 🙊

I gave mine away to a person, who needed a computer but could not buy one.
I know it is still in good use, but I really miss it. 😁🤩
