Replying to
@dotpk@bsd.network This seems to work. Let me clean up a bit and tell me how to send you a diff. #OpenBSD This is tested on my Pixel 9 Pro with GrapheneOS

Replying to
@dotpk@bsd.network Indeed it is. Android switched to cdc-ncm - network control mode since the Pixel 6. I'm still looking into the details but I want to get it working on #OpenBSD. #NetBSD has a driver since their newest 11 release, so thats probably a good think to relate to.

Just to help you get through these difficult times while there isn't yet an official #littlefedi package on #OpenBSD, here's an installer script for the binary only:

cat ./update_littlefedi.sh

#!/bin/sh set -e if [ "$(id -u)" -ne 0 ]; then echo "Run this as root." >&2 exit 1 fi

salt=dd if=/dev/random bs=128 count=1 2>/dev/null | sha1 release="littlefedi-openbsd-amd64" bin_path="/usr/local/bin/$release" tmp_path="/tmp/$(echo "$salt-date +%s" | sha1)"

mkdir -p $tmp_path ftp -o $tmp_path/$release https://littlefedi.social/downloads/binaries/$release install -b -o root -m 0755 $tmp_path/$release $bin_path rm -rf $tmp_path echo "LittleFedi updated and installed at $bin_path." exit 0

I want to publicly thank @dch@bsd.network The FreeBSD port of littleFedi was already ready at release time, and it’s really well done. One of the peculiarities of littleFedi is that it was developed and tested first on the BSDs, then on illumos, and only later on Linux. The first public instance, my own @stefano@rpi0w.stefanomarinelli.it account, runs on a Raspberry Pi Zero W with NetBSD. I don’t think many social platforms have started out on NetBSD in recent years. #ThankYou #RunBSD #NetBSD #FreeBSD #OpenBSD #illumos #OwnYourData #Fediverse #littleFedi

You may need to know that #OpenBSD has released today no less than 8 security patches for 7.9: 022: Update nsd(8) to version 4.15.2. 023: Update unbound(8) to version 1.26.1. 024: Fix a variety of bugs in libressl 025: An errant process could cause ps(1) to crash due to a buffer overflow in sysctl(2). 026: A reference counting bug could lead to use-after-free in the kernel. 1/2
