🚨 Bill C-22 would force every Canadian internet provider, messaging app, and cloud service to build surveillance backdoors & store a year of your private data. 🇨🇦’s political parties are using Bill C-4 to permanently exempt themselves from basic privacy law. We have days to force the House to accept the Senate’s sunset clause compromise. Tell your MP: respect voter privacy, sunset Bill C-4! https://openmedia.org/C4Sunset-mtd @OpenMediaOrg@mastodon.social

Remember this prediction of mine: the next election if the NDP doesn't win they will have the best showing they've ever had. There are many emotions because of the orange taint in the whitehouse and PP is just a MAGA idiot and Carney is showing he is against ordinary every day Canadians and is willing to continually cozy up to the orange taint and make corporations even richer. There have been many upsets in politics around the world that astounded people because they didn't see it coming.
I say this with complete sincerity; I believe that if a randomly selected Canadian with moderate intelligence were selected to be PM they'd do a much better job than any of the nincompoop PM's we generally get. For that matter close our eyes and open the phone book and point a finger and we'd get a better PM.
I have never felt the need for cloud storage. It actually puzzles me. I have USB sticks and external drives to store all my stuff. I understand Gov'ts, Institutions and business need cloud storage but not me personally.
