Hii everyone, or anyone that stumbles upon this introduction.
I'm 34, male to female presenting, living in Sydney Australia. I'm an IT Consultant by trade, CS2 and WoW player by night. I'm also into watching Anime, reading Manga, and working on my own software projects.
I thought I would finally try to give a microblogging platform a try. I've tried Mastodon in the past, briefly, and same for Twitter/X and Bluesky. However, I've heard good things about Misskey/Sharkey. I'm not entirely new to the Fediverse, and you can find me active on Piefed, Matrix and Pixelfed.

@MsDropbear42@blahaj.zone yeah been using it daily now for about 6months for both work and personal use. It's quite OOTB customisable these days, as long as you like vertical tabs I guess. One thing I really miss though is the web panels, I always liked having Qobuz running in a Web panel that I could just expand back out if I needed. Does Floorp still have these implemented?

Things were definitely quite elitist back then for sure, but this landscape has changed a fair bit especially in the last 3-4yrs with the influx of new users coming over to alternative OS's. Not saying these neckbeards aren't still out there though

Some nights on CS2 are just horrible I swear. 3 matches, after checking replays there was at least 1 wallhack in each match. So then decided to play some Casual, nope multiple wallers and an aim bot. Okay fine, warmup server and just practice aim and movement.. Nope multiple wallers after spectators. I really don't understand you cheaters out there..

I said this when the Flipper Zero released originally, that we used to build basically these when I was a cyber security student at Uni, using Arduino boards and Raspberry Pi's if I needed the extra horsepower. Like the Flipper is cool, but 290 CAD, that's insane

Just went through and did a fresh VM install of Windows 11 using kvm. That Windows install process is absolutely horrible, the ads, the multiple attempts at selling me a product during install.. I felt so validated for ditching Windows years ago while running this install

So decided to go engage on some Reddit threads today, and got a very strong reminder of why I've be phasing that platform out my life. Person writes a comment full of misinformation, and completely wrong assumptions, so I jump in fix their mistakes, and provide the real answer, I get downvoted, the misinformation gets upvoted..
Okay fine, here's another comment with obvious bulletin all the way through it. I decided to press on the obvious bullshit, I receive no replies but their comment gets upvoted, mine gets down...
