Nach dem Solheim Cup wollte ich noch ein wenige Green Bay im American Football sehen, war dann aber doch zu müde und bin ins Bett. #Fedle received several fixes.

• Spanish now treats Ñ as its own letter, and its dictionary has been improved.
• It also fixes federation issues for #Misskey and #Sharkey.
• Announcements and results now have a dedicated tag per language, like #Fedle_es, #Fedle_en etc.

Hallo noch mal. Ich bin nicht neu im #Fediverse, aber neu auf dieser Instanz. (und neu mit #sharkey, ich bin gespannt.) Dieses Konto ist dazu gedacht, über meine psychischen Probleme und alles was dazu gehört zu schreiben. (Ich hatte mir dazu eigentlich den Account @unsagbar_weit@iceshrimp.de angelegt, aber da gab es technische Probleme.) Diagnostiziert habe ich #Depressionen, #Angststörung und #essstörung . Zusätzlich bin ich noch irgendwie #neurodivergent, evtl. #autismus, #adhs, also vielleicht auch #audhs … auf jeden Fall #hochsensibel und #hochbegabt. Vielleicht sorgt es ja für ein bisschen Sichtbarkeit, wenn ich hier poste (wobei die im Fediverse ja schon recht hoch ist), ansonsten entlastet es mich vielleicht einfach ein bisschen. #neuhier #introduction

Frage an die Sharkey-Benutzer Welche grundlegenden Vor- oder Nachteile seht Ihr im Vergleich zu Mastodon? #sharkey vs #mastodon

one of the many nice features of #sharkey is its #clips function. i was slow to understand the use of this, but once it eventually clicked i began using it lots & lots. however imo the sharkey GUI has a glaring weakness wrt clips. once the user has added a post to a clip, the GUI gives absolutely no visual indication that the post is added. that is, to look at that post within its timeline, the little paperclip icon denoting clips, has not changed in any way visible to me. i'd have thought that an exceedingly obvious design choice here should have been to either bold this icon, change its colour, or add a badge to it... something that would instantly let the user know that post has been "clipped". tldr = a good design idea badly implemented #blahajzone

Ongoing reminder that this has been an issue with youtube embeds either in this instance or Sharkey as a whole, I would greatly appreciate if this was addressed at some point because nobody wants to click on a video link without a specific embed on the chance it could be a screamer prank or worse. @sakurajima@sakurajima.moe#Sharkey

@jerry@infosec.exchange hi Jerry. i vaguely recall a post of yours from several weeks / maybe some months? ago, where you said you were going to introduce mandatory #TOTP / #2FA for accounts. that alarmed me coz i do not have any TOTP facility atm, & tbh know nothing about this tech at all. as i largely use #sharkey rather than masto for my daily fediversing these days, i shoved this into the too hard basket, & forgot about it. today though i chanced across discovering that my long-term password manager, #keepassxc, also includes a TOTP capability. i've now begun investigating it, though atm i still don't really understand it. this reminded me of that recent? post of yours, so i thought maybe i'd use my masto account for my first TOTP guinea pig. i fell at the first hurdle. the masto settings section for 2FA says: Two-factor Auth If you enable two-factor authentication using an authenticator app, logging in will require you to be in possession of your phone, which will generate tokens for you to enter.i do not use my phone for anything other than calls + sms. i have no intention to change from using my linux pc for my fediversing & all other interwebzing, to my phone. does this mean then that my infosec.space account is doomed? eg, next time i log out, for whatever reason, i'll no longer be able to log back in, if you have activated mandatory 2FA, & i don't have it? i'd really hoped that belatedly discovering kpxc [on my linux desktop] has totp might be my solution, but now i'm only more confused. thx.

I prefer the software Sharkey as it gives a high character count along with some amazing quality of life features including alias' for custom emojis you can use for reactions but it can also can be used on a good amount of Mastodon based apps due to the Mastodon API Integrations. I run a little Sticker making business that I'm slowly building up and have recently started selling Fediverse Stickers that ship all over the world. I also love video games, I've started trying to expand my type of titles I play but normally tend to lean towards, Minecraft, Hytale, Counter Strike 2, Euro Truck Simulator 2, GTA V, Hitman, Satisfactory or someother strange game I can loose myself in for hours.
