Calling attention to the COMETA Report (1999), an independent French investigation into UAP/UFOs that is firmly grounded, well-researched, and most importantly, conducted by serious people. I am about half way through so far and its so easy to forget that legitimate research has gone into the subject and that there are a (small) number of truly incredible events with multiple reputable witnesses and data sources (including radar). Fascinating stuff. The subject of UFOs is typically a guilty pleasure of mine so it's always interesting to stumble upon a convincing study that outclasses biased research and unserious (to put it politely) online discourse. The report (linked) focuses on the most interesting class of event which they call Category D UAPs, events that are unexplained despite a large amount of evidence and data available. https://www.war.gov/medialink/ufo/release_1/255_413270_ufo's_and_defense_what_should_we_prepare_for.pdf #UAP #UFO #ufology
