- many British are black and brown
- if they were not British but European already living here they could stay
- if they were not British and not European their immigration status was completely unaffected by Brexit
It’s always just an excuse to harass and be openly racist.
@macsparky I am sad and excited about MPU’s future. I don’t even understand how you managed to do this twice. This is not to take away anything from Katie or @ismh86 , I loved the show this whole time ( and no, it cannot be 17 years! You’re lying! This is Tardis time manipulation!😭👴🏻) but again I am really excited to see what @stephenrobles will bring to the show ❤️.

@zeank @Quasit @rootschange correct me if I am wrong but AFAIK IRC and Jabber are open, you can self host etc, *but* they are not federated, every server sits on its own and you can only communicate with other people on the same server. Federated describes a completely different axis from open.

@Quasit @rootschange I haven’t used it yet personally, so I have no idea how mature it is, [but AFAIK it’s the only federated messaging system](it’s not!). It seems that there are quite a few client options though, so that’s a good sign I guess.
Edit: TIL that Jabber and IRC are federated.

@IngaLovinde @aredridel anyway my point was not that doing adversarial reviews is easy, but that doing them only to new contributors gives a false sense of security. The xz story proves that sophisticated attackers are aware of this and use it against the OSS community. Again, this is not an LLM problem. It’s just a difficult problem.

@IngaLovinde @aredridel When people describe corporate environments, I’m often shocked. You’ve worked in nicer places than I have. If someone accepts a basic code review comment like ‘you copy pasted this instead of extending the function,’ rather than shopping for another reviewer, I call that a win. That may be why AI doesn’t upset me much: with moderate feedback, I get better results from it than I often did from humans.
When your icons need a documentation page, I think it’s safe to say they failed at their most basic task…
