Innerhalb 2 Minuten stehen 8 Leute, davon 3 Ärzte da.
Auf unsere Zivilgesellschaft ist manchmal doch noch Verlass! 🤩

@sancla but instead of investing in the maintainers of OpenSource projects, so they can work on security, instead of focusing on building more resilient infrastructure, the capital made available to improve security will be put into deploying AI-driven endpoint security and DLP tools and to hire "security experts" whose sole skill is tokenmaxxing and role-playing as cyberdefense-pro!

Es ist immer äußerst frustrierend zu sehen, welche Methoden, Werkzeuge und Effizienzen in der OSS-Welt vorhanden wären und dann von der Innenperspektive zu sehen, was im kommerziellen Kontext daraus gemacht wird.

Wenn selbst in konservativen "Wer hier im Haus seine Füße unter dem Tisch hat, wählt CDU"-Haushalten das Dach mit PV vollgemacht wird, die Wärmepumpe vorm Haus steht und der Verbrenner gegen ein E-Auto getauscht wird, sind es deutliche Zeichen, dass die #Energiewende, trotz #KatherinaReiche|s Sabotageversuchen und Korruption zu Gunsten fossiler Interessen hierzulande kaum mehr aufzuhalten sein wird.

systemctl uses Polkit internally to interactively gain the privileges it needs, so it will ask for a password when needed.
And if you really insist on doing it sudo-style, use systemd's "run0" instead.

Und in einer anderen Angelegenheit bis vor kurzem habe ich letztlich über ein Jahr gebraucht, bis ich nen Termin hatte, weil ich einfach nicht die Zeit habe, täglich Stunden damit zu verbringen, irgendwelche Ärzte abzutelefonieren.

Too many fell for the "AI will be the future…" scam, they're now heavily reliant on it - not only in a technical, but also in a mental sense…
So people and orgs will be willing to deal to a certain extent with price gouging, which will help those AI companies to reach their "billions in revenue" goals.

@lcamtuf I just hope the remote include handler supports a graceful downgrade in case the remote host truthfully reports not being able to support this fancy new Secure Socket Layer stuff - not everyone can spend hundreds of dollars on those certificates every year or have a beefy enough CPU to deal with the encryption overhead!

@hello wenn ich bei der Polizei eine Anzeige wegen eines Einbruchs erstatte, würde man mich spätestens dann für unzurechnungsfähig erklären, wenn ich schildere, dass der Einbrecher mich vorher freundlich um den Haustürschlüssel gebeten hat.
Politiker die das Gleiche (trotz mehr als ausreichend öffentlichem Bewusstsein für diese Problematik) mit ihrem digitalen zu Hause machen werden medial in Schutz genommen.

Heart diseases can be prevented to a large degree by changes to nutrition, mobility (cars vs bikes/pedestrianization), etc which are all a direct dependency of politics.
The drastically different situation in other nations clearly shows

Und gibt es irgendwo Informationen zu den Kommunen/Städten/Landkreisen, die in absehbarer Zeit noch mitmachen wollen bzw gibt es Aussagen zu den Gründen, warum sich welche nicht beteiligen wollen?
Momentan sieht es ja noch etwas mau aus, wenn selbst eine Fahrradstadt wie #Tübingen nicht dabei ist (immerhin ist Gomaringen ohne einen einzigen Meter wirklichen Radweg dabei 😁)

@geotux ich schließe mich an. #OpenOffice wird seit Jahren extrem vernachlässigt, hat eine deutlich schlechtere Kompatibilität zu MS-Office-Formaten und insbesondere Aufgrund zahlreicher Sicherheitsprobleme ist höchste Vorsicht bzw der Wechsel zu @libreoffice angeraten, da Office-Dokumente auf Grund ihrer Komplexität und historischen Designsünden technischer Natur ein großes Einfallstor ins System für Schadsoftware darstellen!

@leitmedium@tldr.nettime.org solange die Werkzeuge der Automatisierung (effizientere Prozesse, Roboter,...) von denjenigen kontrolliert werden, die ohnehin schon Geld & Macht haben, tritt das Gegenteil ein, da Arbeit weniger Wert wird und Menschen für ihren Lebensunterhalt umsomehr arbeiten müssen.
