#3GoodThings #ThreeGoodThings #Today

1. Air conditioning
(We're in a hot spell, 36C daily high, 28C nightly low, has been like this for 2 weeks and set to continue)

2. Ice lollies (see 1)

3. Our mountain* (see pic) - it looks different every day but always beautiful

*Clearly (and sadly) we don't own it but it's our constant companion while at home on the farm

#3GoodThings #ThreeGoodThings

1. Heading up to our farm workers' bunkhouse as soon as we wake up, to have a catch-up while the dogs roll in the grass and the chickens wander round us pecking in the dirt. #FarmLife

2. Running some trains on my little test layout while consistently failing to find the time to build my "proper" layout. #ModelRailway #NGauge #DCC #JMRI

3. A call from a former client #today may result in a #webdev project for a new client.

Looks like we need a new foreman. Gave him a job to do after finishing the perimeter fencing: fabricate and install a large gate and a small gate.

He was grumbling about wanting to go on a day rate instead of fixed price per job (obvious lazy fucker is obvious). I said fixed price is the deal, and this is the (fair) amount.

He said it wasn't enough, I went up 10%, final offer. He wanted another 20%, I said no, take it or leave it. He's leaving it.

*shrug*

Plenty more looking for work.

@lina From the post: "The Dutch police appear to run the actual infrastructure for these operations. They have been active for quite some time now, and over the years, they have managed to seize a maybe around one hundred domains and make a few arrests here and there." So, basically completely ineffectual. Which is what I would expect.
