Not only does this motherfucker have a side quest for you, he’s also the OP NPC who joins you for the front half of the story arc.
Sometimes I just put a big spoonful of peanut butter in a mug and throw in dark chocolate chips and eat it as a treat.
I can do this because I’m an adult.

@robdaemon@hachyderm.io Kiss from a Rose is another top of mind… not counting Prince soundtracks, as one could argue the films are actually made for the songs.

@cazabon@mindly.social I mean, isn’t Slopcentral github? Is this one of those white people ‘what do you mean everything isn’t mine all the time’ things?
COFFEE RECALL!
Coffee in NY and NJ may have botulism.
Good times.

#NowPlaying The Who “Live at Leeds”
This is the new 2LP 45rpm 180g AP all analogue cut from the original masters.
Gone is the flimsy-ass file-folder sleeve, and now a beautiful gatefold
It even comes with a packet of cool ephemera.
The downside of 45rpm tho… 2 songs a side. Highly flippy.
But the audio quality is great. Not a lot of live recordings from this era sound good. This not only sounds great, but it’ll get you moving!

If true, this *entirely* misses the point, and mis-frames the notion of privacy.
I don’t give a fuck if your AI bullshit is “on device”… you’re still taking video and photos of *other people who did not give you prior consent*
Now, in the US, this is actually kinda messy. Historically, photographers didn’t need your permission to photograph you in a public place… but 1, this is different because it’s not simply a photo, and 2, not every space is public even if the public may occupy the space.
Soooo the Humminguru Nova (ultrasonic record cleaner) came today. I’ve currently cleaned about a dozen 12” discs, all used from various sources.
While I haven’t played any of them yet, even in my not-well-lit room, they are clearly and obviously cleaner, so… thumbs-up!

@gloriousnoise@heads.social @vinylrecords@fedigroups.social Fortunately, while it isn’t the same, so many concerts have excellent soundboard recordings.
It’s like the album is merely a blueprint for the real live versions.
The absurdity and inscrutability of this headline caused my brain to halt.
It’s amazing.
And no, I won’t actually click through.

@ohchristwhatnow@4bear.com Yeah, there’s A LOT of it, and multi-coloured. It would have been bonkers expensive to repro at scale.

@kevbob@xoxo.zone Nice!!
You should pick up this new version. It’s probably the best version of it to date.

@adamshostack@infosec.exchange @catsalad@infosec.exchange I don’t have an answer but now I’m super curious as to why the delay was there. To try and make people actually read the warning (ex: this extension can read all your shit), or some other technical one?

Holy shit NPR sucks so goddamned much. Their reporting on the OpenAI incident is literally unfettered fantasy.
It’s a fucking crime against their listeners.

@ytetic@4bear.com Indeed. The one thing that I can do, and still enjoy doing is long form reading. I’ve never been a novel person (some exceptions), but continuing to read ‘stuff well over the length of a feature article’ is important.
But also, I just need to sleeeeeeeeep. I need to really work to fix that.

@tewha@appdot.net do you not have them? I literally finished my packet earlier today (with cheese, of course).
Ok, this is weird. What animal eats hibiscus flowers?

@ytetic@4bear.com oh no, that was me. It was still attached to the plant… and what’s also curious is it was facing outward… ie, toward the one story drop to the back garden.

@tewha@appdot.net oh no! I am surprised you don't have knockoffs. For example, Whole Foods has their house-branded ones, and they're ostensibly the same (although perhaps with shrinkflation, aka making the portions smaller but also raising the price).
