Anything that an LLM can code should be a well-documented reusable library. We've known about the software reuse problem/solution for decades, but the economics won't support the implementation of the solution.

Also consider installing the unpaywall addon for browsers (firefox and chrome) that finds and provides a link for institutional repository or academia.edu/researchgate etc available copies (not to the shadow libraries like zlob or libgen).

Murderbot diaries. Only one season of 10 eps so far, but really funny, particularly the show-within-a-show.
ONE PIECE is also really fun. Two seasons of 8 eps each, so far.

Plus people who believe in democracy have to turn out in the Dem primaries this year and in 2028. You have to have a Senate and president who will pack the court otherwise it will keep undermining democracy.

To be serious for a moment, it's not edtech that's the bad idea, it's proprietary locked in edtech. FLOSS edtech is a good idea, so long as the institutions fund local devs to contribute to the core and to support local customisation.

I would prefer the Carholic church, indeed all large organised religions did not exist.
Given that they do, I prefer their power is used positively. Doesn't make me like them, just makes me dislike them less.

The LLM bubble is going to burst. The stupid investment discount on usage (somewhere north of 90%) will go away and the utility really isn't worth the real cost in the vast majority of cases.

I gave my business schol Information Ethics class on AI last week and stressed exactlythis point. Whether LLMs can do the work your junior people can do or not (to an acceptable quality/price), betting your business on the LLM being able to replace senior people in ten years is a bad business decision.
