@Niall problem is, a good percentage of people are completely priced out of cutting their CO₂.
We could only afford the urban arrow bike with gifts from family and a loan from family.
We also got a battery lawnmower with a family loan.
We could never afford solar or an EV without similar help. Many do not have family with that kind of money and for them it is impossible.
#TIL that #Wellington has a flag... and two referenda prior to its creation both failed to make one that ended up getting used. Then the professionally designed one... also never gets used.
So failed flag referenda have a precedent in #NewZealand.

It just feels harder in the moment, but it is over more quickly on account of the added speed, so it evens out to less work overall.
