@jeremy_pm@mastodon.nz Heh. Ardern worked with Peters - he's canny enough to see where the wind blows and adjust accordingly so long as he can cut himself a good deal.

Turns out cat has a dodgy tooth. Extraction on Monday. Some antibiotics and painkillers until then.

@falcennial@mastodon.social @jdmcg@mastodon.nz I’m sure someone will have the code/design out there somewhere as these have been thing for a while https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TV-B-Gone

@exlibrarykris@cloudisland.nz @ygathgoch@cloudisland.nz Classic. We now have a bigger Brissie footprint too and it took me a minute to lookup what was going on over there. Last few years I’ve been thinking NZ should follow them and ditch DST too

TOP billboard says 'R̶i̶g̶h̶t̶,̶ ̶L̶e̶f̶t̶, Forward'... which misses the point of moving ahead when the country is already on the right of centre direction. #nzpol Still, some positive talking points... @jeremy_pm@mastodon.nz I guess they'll take a leaf from NZF and work with anyone that comes knocking and makes the appropriate conciliatory gestures. But it seems they'll weaken the centre if conservatives hold true. Will make for an interesting election.

@PetraOleum@cloudisland.nz Yeah, not great but at least she isn't suffering from something more serious. Certainly put up a hell of a fight getting into the cat-carrier so she isn't short of energy in spite of mostly being sedentary on the bed for 48 hours.

@Wintergr33n@lingo.lol Nice! Yes, looks like the same as the track on 'Still'. They certainly sounded intense live and not averse to a bit of improv/fun.

Its meant to rain later today so fair warning, I'm pre-emptively hanging out some washing to dry. I can't be blamed for any inclement weather this might bring.

@exlibrarykris@cloudisland.nz not looking forward to the three hour time difference for a week with my Aussie colleagues.

First time I’ve seen so many rowers out there practising this spring. Chilly and bright and daylight savings is looming…

@ygathgoch@cloudisland.nz Interesting - maybe a licensible form or something similar? I'll have to check them next time to see if they are fibre-glass or steel or plastic. Its a shame they didn't allow for more sculptural forms but the paint work is certainly neat.

@stephen@ephemera.vital.org.nz Classic! 😂 ☕

I am guessing this will be $penny... no mention of where this fits in with the 'Still' live stuff... I should really have taken down the names of the artists to give them credit in the photos. I'll have to see if I can get pics of a few more of them before they are auctioned off in mid November. One thing I didn't realise - all of the bees are the same, its just the paint-job by each artist is different. I guess it standardises the work and means the artist doesn't necessarily need to create and paint the sculpture. Seems like a constraint to me, but maybe necessary to keep costs/time-frames manageable.

@Iveyline@mastodon.nz Yup. Its a bit shite but Shane seems to be the man to funnel public funds into private hands. Hopefully they get the boot and hauled over the coals. Ideally heads would roll but I can't see that happening.
